One of the best drop videos I have watched, well done! Towing that guy in at the end was so good, it's always a great feeling helping someone out on a feature and seeing them succeed 🤟

this is a great video. at 14:40 you can see how much smoother shred's expert technique is compared to the intermediate rider. shred smoothly absorbs with his legs and extends his arms as he goes of the edge and lands light. The intermediate rider kind of pops and is stiff in the air for a harder landing.

Great vid man, I hope you do one on stepdown jumps to compare with this one

Love your videos man. Especially for tutorial videos, it would be super helpful if you could segment out the timeline with labeled sections to make it easier to navigate

I have seen a few guys go really fast and boost off the ramp up and jump the whole flat spot. Looks gnarly when done

Stinky skills park at killington. It really is as easy as just rolling down the hill and going off the end

You're still missing that it's much better to approach the drop in your high position and then go low to the stem just before the edge and push with your arms from that low position. You have much more control over a trajectory and an option to pop up and jump over if you need to or scub it down and push to the landing sooner if your speed is to high.
@TheshredacademyАй бұрын
No sir im not. If you actually watch the video I do mention more than a handful of time approaching in a relaxed position. And you never want to put your head or chest to the stem, you’d be putting all your weight in front cause if more front wheel dive. I do how ever talk about utilizing the motions of the “push or shove” but again as I said in the video at trail speed there is no need to create more momentum off the edge of the drop. If your going to slow then you’ll have to utilize the jhop form just not exaggerated. Your comment makes me wonder if you actually watched the video or just commented off the thumbnail. Safe shredding. 😜

@@Theshredacademy going low with chest down the stem doesn't mean the weight shifts forward - the weight is over the bottom bracket, as usually.

These are two different dropping techniques, with the 'low chest push' being a racer drop, when you're more often than not have too much speed and want to scrub it a bit, and the 'high up push and shift' is for us mere mortals who often have a bit too little speed. They do a similar thing, but just work better (and easier to perform) at different speeds.
