I wonder if your PC dying happened because of a power surge. If you're not already using one, I'd highly recommend getting a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply). It's basically a battery backup with the benefit of cleaner power. It will protect your devices from sudden power loss and power surges.

7:40 since it’s trimmed I’m assuming it’s the gear that spawns with trial chamber mobs when it’s an ominous trial, but those mobs don’t drop it normally in vanilla so it’s interesting how the rando loot makes it happen, especially with illegal enchantment combos

I have a 14900KF and as much as I haven't had that much of a stability issue (one crash in months that I can remember) they do tend to run as hot as the sun. Tho once you go into the bios and limit it to intel's specifics instead of letting it run on unlimited, temps have been way more normal, with no loss of performance I can notice.

They are not "buggy". It's a motherboard issue that makes the chip fry itself. Supposedly fixed by new bios updates but I don't trust that

@@jujub5557 I guess you haven't kept up with the news, yes the chips run over the recommended base voltage, but that's as per the K on it, they should be able to be overclocked, with minimal issues which has been the case for years before those cards, but the chips aren't even stable after the mobo updates. All the motherboard updates keep it as base recommended voltages and clocks or under. So it's essentially a QA issue or a manufacturing issue.

I can fully believe the modem killed your PC, Occasionally (not every time, but more than once) when my modem goes down, my computer stops being able to recognize just 1 of the USB ports and will say something like "device not recognized" and plugged into that spot is my wireless mouse and keyboard so it's very inconvenient when that happens. I really should change the spot, but it's the only USB port in the back of my PC and I like how it frees up space in the front for other things. If it happens again I'll probably move it to the front but computer problems are so weird

I’ve had power surges come in through a cable modem. Cable modem itself was fine, but the home router, switch and several NICs were fried.

do you live in an area where there is low humidity and is there a lot of carpet in your house? it might be that you are building up a charge and causing a discharge through your computer via cables. so maybe get some ESD mat or something to create a ground for yourself?

Just image your current ssd onto your new one, and uninstall all the base OS drivers from the old computer. I did that and it worked fine, didn’t have to re-register a few of my plugins. Still had to for a lot of them tho ::(

Some people just 'have the touch' when it comes to accidentally breaking tech, I guess. Skizzleman (Skizz for short) is not allowed to touch any delicate electronics for any events, or even during the setup for the joint podcast he records with Impulse, because without fail he somehow breaks them. Not even being rough, or anything. Must some weird electromagnetism as yet undocumented in humanity. There's certainly enough strange cases I've seen, and been aware of to think there's probably some corroborative data worth testing over the matter. Now I wonder if there's a legitimate study that is, or has been conducted. 😅 Still recommending a diff OS meanwhile.

There are people who are the opposite also. One in particular repaired laser printers. He had a reputation for field stripping a printer, not being able to find a problem, cussing a blue streak, (former Navy,) including threatening to take it to the recycling center behind the woodshed, reassemble the thing and it starts working again.

why don't you buy a cloning machine? you can clone the hard drive as u have it now and not change any settings Salcar SD322 HDD+SSD Festplatten Docking-Station Offline Clone that above is the machine name and is easy to use ( put the one u want cloned in first slot and the one u want it cloned on in the second slot and press the clone button until it changes the leds) i did that to mine and i still have the same setting for obs

My guess on the PC is an unfortunate case of cosmic radiation, a single random X-ray or radiation particle cast off by the sun can scramble little bits of code, and thus bluescreen or kill an electronic device entirely, luckily it's exceptionally rare
