Aye man idk if this is the real Fredro but I gotta say, when I was like 7,8 maybe 9 I went to a a yard sale at these white ppls house. They were sellin their kids cds since he moved out. I bought Firestarr not even knowing what rap(I’m Mexican and had just been in the US for a few years). That album put me onto rap. I didn’t even see it as a “black” thing, it was about putting the struggle into smooth lyrics and rhymes. Fredro Starr, you literally showed me a whole new art form and made me appreciate it. Wherever you are now I hope you’re doing good my man. I will always remember Firestarr and my Walkman and listening to it on repeat on the bus drive home.
