Hi Bridget, I don’t even know what to say. I now understand the heartaches Farmers go through sometimes. I pray you’ll still get to harvest something.

It’s an unbelievably difficult thing to go through, especially for those who make a living through farming.

Dear Ms. Wint, Thank you for sharing of yourself in your beautiful, authentic videos, and for your consistent 0:08 witness about God’s goodness and faithfulness. I am inspired and encouraged by you, and I hope to one day meet in person. I have a friend here in the USA who grew up near Kalumbila and who also has family near Kasempa. He is eager to return and we are discussing the possibility of investing in Zambian agriculture. One thing that struck me from this video was that I didn’t hear you refer to your new water pump and whether that has helped your garden/maize. From what I’ve read, many Zambian farmers do not have active irrigation systems, and this recent drought seems to highlight how helpful active irrigation systems might be for those farmer,…especially now with some of the changing weather patterns we are detecting. Do you feel that the improved design, financing, and construction of modern irrigation systems would be helpful to Zambian farmers?

Thank you so much for your very very encouraging comment. Incidentally I read it right after evaluating/questioning myself if KZbin is the best use of my time considering the number of tasks on my shoulders. Comments like this keep me going. Thank you 🙏. The answer to all those questions is a resounding yes! Financing, improved design and construction of irrigation systems is the way forward. I didn’t talk much about my recently installed pump and sprinkler because I may have been too late in installing the pump, to see adequate positive impact. I’ll be able to tell in a few weeks. I think some of my maize is too stunted to revive but I continue to water in hope for a better harvest. My biggest limitation right now is that I don’t have a tank stand so I’m having to use a small booster pump to distribute the water to the house and farm. It’s quite costly doing it this way but hope to build a tank stand and buy a big tank when I have some $$. Phew, long answer but hope that helps. Yes, please encourage your friend to come back and invest in agriculture. With a good vision and proper financial backing this is a noble and lucrative business. Hope to meet you and God bless.

Greetings Bridget 🙌 A great video, you have shared. It's really an eye opener and l am always learning, regardless of the devastating drought we are currently facing in our country. You have remained positive by utilising the land and l am sure, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Well done for the work you do 👍
