Family planning should be the top priority before everything else. How can people keep having babies in poverty? It's shocking to see that woman so skinny from hunger and yet she is pregnant. Why have babies when you are starving yourself?
@bonkbonk2670Ай бұрын
Because they are uneducated and cant afford things we can in the west. Not letting them have affordable electricity will always keep them in such poverty and short life expectancy. Now they are told they cant use fossil fuel to make electricity and they will continue to die 20 years earlier than we do int the west. Electricity means better air for them do breathe and more and cleaner water and more food but the humanitarian news dont want them to have that because the worst models that dont even come close to get climate right says we might be heading to a catastrophe. Why listen to the models that are accurate so far? Ahh then you wont have a catastrophe to talk about and that is too bad.

In African villages, people's pride is in having children. They don't view life as we do, mostly they are content with very little. Fortunately those children do survive and some because very successful.

@LifedisableddАй бұрын
@@teegeecees Again as an African myself living in Africa. Children who grow up in poverty being successful in life is very rare. Likely 20 to 30 % or less. In fact those kids being born in poverty usually end up in Child Labour and child marriages because their poor parents cannot afford to raise them into adulthood. Many end school at Junior / primary level. So Yes....Family planning education is necessary.

Yes every single chart shows the decline and how we are heading for the CRISIS... oh wait we have improved on every single chart the last 100 years? Cant be true and the claims that Earth has become 20% greener since then must also be false we better write no NASA and tell them the satellite photos gets it wrong. But lets listen to the models that dont even get close to get climate right instead of those who are closest the real numbers. What would life be without these catastrophes the incorrect models produce.
@ChezombieАй бұрын
We can't make it rain, but we can help other countries farm more crops that are far more drought resistant. Many species of beans for example can grow in areas that receive even less rainfall than Zambia. Millet can also grow in virtually arid land with very little rainfall. Corn and maize are not the best growers in arid climates, maize does better in temperate and tropical climates. Education is also key, many of these farmers are using old farming methods that might have worked when they were children, but cannot keep up with a changing climate, a growing population and an increasing demand for food. As well as sending much needed aid, we should also be sending people who can test out and teach methods that are more likely to succeed in such a tough climate. Like the old saying 'you can give a man a fish and he will eat today, if you teach a man to fish, he will eat for life'. This quote is obviously not just about fishing, it is about the importance of education and self reliance. NOBODY should be dying from hunger in the 21st century. Human induced climate change is a very real thing. I don't go around blocking off roads, but I do certainly support the science behind this, and how climate change is EVERYONE'S problem. I worry our current efforts might be too little, too late.

The Sahara is not Zambia. They're a long way apart, and I doubt the countries within the Sahara will welcome 15 million Zambians to gather all they want (if it's edible anyway). This would be like 15 million starving Germans turning up in Ireland and expecting to be given everything, not going to happen without a lot of public outcry. No, the solutions will be the usual ones. Those with strength and money to leave will migrate, burdening Europe with yet more migrants it can't cope with. Meanwhile, the media will repeatedly shame the public into donating (forgetting that many citizens around the world are now struggling to make ends meet, facing a rash of newly introduced taxes and bans if you're British), and the usual governments who do give something will do as little as they can (while one or two others will conspire to make use of the situation, trading food for land, rights to resources). Prepare for another Live Aid record re-release.
