Really love your videos,, they give so much info on white noise.. thanks so much. It’s obviously a passion with you. I can understand this. I had noisy neighbours and couldn’t believe how effective white noise was at blocking sound, it was like magic. I’m always looking for new technologies in this field. With this in mind, I’m wondering if you’ve considered reviewing earbuds for sleeping, I’m using the Bose sleep buds now and think they are the best tech yet.

Thanks for the positive feedback Rebecca - I really appreciate it. I was actually hoping to do one of my big comparisons for headphones this year, but I think it's going to have to wait until 2022 now, as I still have two other videos to edit this year and I am a bit slow...The Bose are definitely on my list to add to the comparison when I get around to it, as I've heard good things about them and I really liked the sound quality of the Bose Quiet Comfort models, even if they weren't the most practical for sleeping in all positions because of their size. So I'm looking forward to doing that review, and hope it turns out to be useful - especially for people who are thinking of spending a fair bit of money on headphones.

Thanks! I just ordered one. I plan to make a tiny pillowcase for it which I can wash.

You can slide it into a thin sock to keep the unit clean. Need to wash? Wash just the sock.
@nosleeplessnights1

That would work, yes - as long as you don't mind the concept of sleeping on a sock!

A bit off topic, but what device do you use personally most often for falling asleep, is it a pillow speaker, handband with speakers or a sound machine?
@nosleeplessnights1
@nosleeplessnights1 2 жыл бұрын
That's actually a very good question! I use different devices for different situations. I have so many of them in my home now (I nearly always keep the ones I review) that I can just get what I think will be useful out of a cupboard and use it. Honestly though, I have a lot of rotation because I'm regularly testing new devices. In a hypothetical world though, where I don't test new products, I would probably use earplugs more often than an audio device because the world tends to be a noisy place and I find earplugs block out noise well. But on nights when I wanted to listen to music and was sleeping alone, I would probably just use a Bluetooth speaker, or the radio on my wake-up light alarm clock. If I was sleeping next to someone who doesn't make much noise but doesn't want to listen to my music, I would use a pillow speaker. If I was sleeping next to someone who is noisy, I would use headband headphones. I would use a sound machine if I was sleeping alone, didn't want to use earplugs and there was noise from another room or outside that was cutting through my audio or earplugs. I also like white noise while I'm working during the daytime. Now, back to the original question. Right now, when I'm not testing new devices, I fall asleep to my wake-up light with the sunset setting and radio on a timer. I like the combo of light and sound it provides.

I am not a sidesleeper, so if I sleep straight then can i hear it properly? My concern is to watch movie without disturbing my partner. What is your opinion sir?
@nosleeplessnights1
@nosleeplessnights1 21 күн бұрын
That depends on the volume level you set it to, the thickness of your pillow if you place it under the pillow, and your hearing. You could also just lie it next to one ear on top of the pillow when you're on your back. Whichever option you choose, watching a movie with a pillow speaker will not be the same as using headphones though - the audio quality will be in no way as good.

Is it safe? I heard that having your phone under your pillow is unsafe for your brain.

It connects with Bluetooth, so your phone can stay away from the bed. Only the speaker itself goes under your pillow.
