About the speed retarder - it doesn't make your train break but makes the throttle go to zero because retarding means breaking with engine

is there a way to set the fluid unloader to not unload a specific car? cause i want to have a train hauling tanks of water but if i run over it with a steam train it drains the water in the actual train and explodes

Not specifically unfortunatly. Though if you change the mod .jar to a .zip by renaming it, you should be able to load it into IR like a resourse pack.

The tanks are a multi-block structure added by immersive engineering. Grab the IE manual and flip through that to find how to build them. As for the pump, it requires power to pull water from a pool.

@@TerminalBAviation just attach a connector to the top of the pump and run a wire from the connector to the power source. Apply red stone to the pump and you should be set.

@@TerminalBAviation any of the power generators from IE will work, like the windmill, the water wheel, the thermoelectric generator, the diesel generator, or the lightning rod. Just need to look them up in the power generation tab of the immersive manual.
