10 mistakes to avoid in low sperm count
We commonly believe that for conception to occur only one sperm and one egg is all that is required. But it is only partially true. Male partner should have at least 15 million sperm concentration per million and 39 million sperms per ejaculate for fertilization to take place. And also among these at least 32 percent should have forward motility and at least 4 percent should be without any morphological abnormality as per WHO 2010 criteria. Among couples who are trying for pregnancy, but not getting success, in at least 50 per cent cases there will be some abnormality in the semen parameters of the male partner. So, it is very important to know about 10 common mistakes which often made by the male partners in couple remaining unsuccessful to get baby. If the male partner can avoid doing these mistakes, often, they can get good result.
Mistakes to be avoided:
1. Avoid smoking
2. Limit alcohol consumption
3. Avoid working in any very hot environment
4. Avoid wearing very tight-fitting garments
