Thank you Dr Tasha. I've just had axillary clearance with mastectomy (young onset ILC, 8cm and either stage 3A or 3C). Can you talk us through axillary webbing/cording? Guessing it's adhesions forming where our axilla used to be? Also what's the best way to exercise our arms/chest, and massage shoulder/arm area, without risking lymphoedema? I have tethered cording from the palm of my hand, through my elbow, into the axilla, down across my chest, and also up into my neck. Having to stretch every hour to stop completely seizing up and awful pain.

I have stage 4 BC and it’s been very stable until earlier this year when new tumours started to grow and I underwent a mastectomy. It wasn’t planned for me to have any lymph nodes removed but my surgeon had access to them during the surgery so she removed 3. One of which turned out to be cancerous. I wasn’t really aware about Lymphodema occurring when you only had a sentinel node biopsy. I guess that means I should avoid blood pressure cuffs and cannula in the cancer side. Thank you so much for covering this topic. I’m going to read more about sentinel biopsy to see if there is anything else .i should avoid.

You need to try to avoid getting any unfections in that arm.

I’ve had a masectomy and axilary node dissection and I can say the arm pit pain is the worst. My range of motion is restricted and all the nodes were taken out because they were positive for cancer. I’m afraid about the future if I will Be able to use my hand normally again, please tell me it gets better .

Is a dissection worse than a clearance ? I’m told it was a axilary node dissection which was all under my arm, chest and under the bra strap

I have a stage1b BC and my mammogram shows that i have a left axillary lymphadenopathy. Does it mean my cancer cells already in my lymph nodes?

Hello doctor, I appreciate the video. I'm from India, and I would like to inquire if, following a mastectomy and auxiliary clearance, symptoms of nerve injury can lead to the development of a swelling like a walnut in between deltoid area and armpit area, or if this may be due to seroma?

2017, I was dx with ILC BC, stage 3B. After chemo, 5/14 lymph nodes were still malignant. They were removed during my mastectomy, and then I had radiation treatments. I still cannot feel under my arm, and due to the Lymphodema, it swells quite a bit. Can you tell me anything about the surgery where they transfer your lymph nodes from one axillary to the other?

Sorry to hear about your symptoms post surgery. Lymphoedema surgery is a developing technique and it is currently not widely used.

Mam i am 19 before 5 month i am suffering from serious jaundice then after that i feel pain in my breast I don't remember exact time of pain i mean it is continuous or i get it in periods but then on my last period, i google breast cancer symptoms then i check it i found a lump in my Breast at that time i am too scared then i stop bearing bra in my period then i touch it i feel that lump is there only but i feel size is reduced i am not sure but i really think that happens then i think nothing to worry then after 15 days of my period i check lump is there only now my next period cycle is coming 10 days are left and i really think lump becomes larger now and day before day i feel pain in my breast i have to worry about it and in my lump I feel some borders

Lucky mine was stage 1, still getting radiation, my lymph nodes were clear
