Watched cardinal Burke Mass yesterday.( our lady of Guadalupe) They used the alter rail, and everyone recieved on their knees, and on the tongue. It went so quickly and reverently. It was beautiful. I want this.

Church teaching tells us the Eucharist under both species, whether in whole or in part, contains the entirety of God - Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, so the reception of the Eucharist under the species of wine is not obligatory in the least... I personally find it a bit absurd how the "ministers" take a little cloth and effectively smear everyone's germs around on the communal Chalice... And yes, the situation is HIGHLY irregular, and not ideal at all. A large majority of people who attend the SSPX would likely agree that they didn’t start going because they “wanted” to, but rather because they had nowhere else to go. Given the ol’ boot, you could say, because we wanted to receive Christ on the tongue, administered by consecrated hands… all the while holding our noses while atrocities happened in the sanctuary DURING Communion. When the Church purges herself (or Christ comes again to do it Himself) of the abuses baked into the currently practiced rubrics, the SSPX will become irrelevant- something the SSPX priests remind us of. Becoming irrelevant is the very goal of the SSPX, because it’s NOT the Church… just a tugboat keeping it from getting swept away with the currents and tides. No money in the world would make me believe what little conservative values are “allowed” by the Vatican would be, except for that pesky little organization staunchly defending the rights of God Almighty. The SSPX is a tool, nothing more, nothing less. If it wasn’t the SSPX, He’d have orchestrated something else to keep the Vatican “honest”.

Her secondary goal of tugging the Church through this mess, is by their own admission, to seek irrelevance, i.e., once the abuses baked into the current rubrics are unequivocally removed. During the week I can only go to the NO mass but I still kneel to receive and only from the priest. I use a cane, I am 76, and it is hard and painful to get on the hard ground. I have annoyed a few priests who asked me "why" doesn't it hurt? So I gave them a little catechesis and how I think of Jesus down on the ground, of His pain when he was down because of my sins. Then the pain becomes sweet. They have never questioned me again. I am from old Bavaria and keep the faith of my ancestor who never submitted to the Lutheran heresy. They fought greater forces than a swishy Cdl. Cupich and did not count the cost. Thank you Taylor, you are one of my shining lights in my old age.

I started kneeling at communion about 7 years ago. I was walking forward and had been thinking about it but hadn't gotten up the courage to do it. Then one day as I got close I felt a weight on my shoulders push me to my knees. At that point I looked up and said, "Ok Lord. I get it." And I've been kneeling since. I did have one priest who loudly stated , "Next time you need to stand up." Our priest found a good sized portable kneeler for us in support of those who wanted to kneel. He wanted to put them in permanently in the church but couldn't get Archbishop's go ahead. so ours are portable. He's also very supportive of veiling. I veil and kneel because He is God, and I'm not. If it came to making a choice of who to obey, I think God ranks higher than a Cardinal and I'm going with that.

I feel your sentiment. At my parish the priest,an assistant bishop ,kept the Mass as like pre Vatican II as he could be died in 1982,RIP! From then it became a lottery but mainly it was very traditional.Then about 2001 it became the norm that"the hierarchy " disliked the use of the rails and we all had to shambles up in a line, but like Oliver Twist in the film when he asked fire 'More'! As the old ones died, the young were indoctrinated into the soup kitchen communion, and the idea of receiving even when in a state of mortal sin! In 2008 Polish priests came to take over the parish church they were astounded at the lack of faith! Presently we're just waiting for Armmagedon, Lord have mercy on us and the wicked men who killed the Church and led so many souls to hell! Lots of love from Wolverhampton.

5 years ago I heard the Lord in my heart say to me “ I want you to kneel when you receive me.” I was afraid what others would think of me because I knew I would be the only one kneeling to receive the Blessed Sacrament. I did not want any attention on me. The Lord asked me to Trust in Him. I did it and I have not turned back. Now several people in my parish do it and our pastor placed 2 kneelers up front for parishioners to receive while kneeling this year. When others see you do it, the Holy Spirit will move them to do it as well. If your parish priest or parish does not have altar kneelers, be courageous for our Lord! Kneel when receiving Him. You will give others courage and inspiration to do this as well. When you kneel it is also natural to receive on the tongue… being fed the bread of life by our shepherds. It’s beautiful.

New Catholic(2022). I expressed my STRONG desire to receive kneeling and on the tongue. I was told "oh no, people will be tripping and falling!". I accepted this for as long as I could but felt like a fraud for doing so. Then during Adoration one morning I felt that I must comply with what God wanted not man. Im retired and travel the country in a RV I have taken the Eucharist in many Cathedrals with hundreds of people and also small country churches with maybe 30 people I've never had any priest or extraordinary minister even hesitate to give to me on my knees. I used to think it should only be the priest but the canon states deacons are ordinary ministers as well, also when teaching at a Catholic school we had 50 minutes for mass with 400-500 people it was physical impossible for one priest to do it in time.

I agree that kneeling is in reverence to the real presence of Our Lord and Saviour in the Holy Eucharist. If people started kneeling again perhaps they could then understand the miracle of the Transubstantiation. I always go to the altar railing and kneel for Communion. I do not have a Latin Mass near me, but my Advisor taught me respect for the Lord and I take Communion on my tongue. I don't see this is drawing attention to oneself, but I do see it as humbling oneself when kneeling before Our great high priest and Lord Jesus. I kneel each time when receiving Jesus on my tongue. I think their is a sense of pridefulness when standing and holding out unconsecrated hands to receive. LORD HAVE MERCY ON US!!!!!!! God Bless

Always kneeling. Our parish recently renovated and we put in an altar rail with kneelers. You have a choice. Recieve standing or kneeling. About 50% of us kneel.

I don't live in that Diocese but I think I'll start kneeling for Communion now. I had one Priest who told me not to Genuflect. When I asked him why, he said that old people would trip over me! I was like "WHAT"???? Well, I still kept doing it and even SLOWER!! I stand there for a few seconds after I receive Our Lord too.

I'm so thankful that I was able to go see Sister Wilhelmina before she was placed under glass, I was able to place my rosary, and my husband placed his cross necklace on her. We prayed over her hands-on. It was beautiful. As a side note, I also got a bag of dirt from her grave as well. After returning home, I had everything blessed by my priest. The nuns were beautiful as well. I loved and treasure that I was so fortunate to experience it all.

Ironically, he is right. That happens to me whenever I have no choice but to go to the Novus Ordo. I get stared at for wearing a veil, and get stares for kneeling, which makes me feel so weird and out of place. This NEVER happens when I attend the TLM, which is why I always stick to my good old FSSP. ❤❤❤❤ Thus, everyone should be kneeling....no ifs, ands, or buts....

I kneel when I receive Holy communion and during the entire mass except for the readings. And by the grace of God I will for as long as he gives me the strength. I thank Our Lord everyday for this precious gift of reverence. At first I felt a little awkward ( about 5 yrs ago). I am Croatian. In my church we had a kneeler, but it was removed when we got a new priest in our Parish. I used to kneel on the kneeler while receiving Holy Communion, but now I can't ,t kneel because I have pain in my back. Before I could at least hold on to the kneeler. They should bring back the kneeling rails.

I have been receiving on the tongue for a few years and this year started kneeling. Someone asked me recently and I said my hands aren't worthy and I'm honoring the Lord by kneeling. The person agreed, but said they were afraid to kneel 🤷🏼 Theres nothing to be afraid of I said in fact after I did it the first time I never want to go back. And I will only receive from a priest, even if i have to walk around the church to get to him 🙏🏻

Pre-COVID I had been receiving on the tongue for years. After COVID I started receiving on the hand again but never felt quite right about it. Easter 2023, I had been feeling very convicted about receiving My Lord kneeling and on the tongue and as I am praying about this at Easter Mass my 8 year old daughter turned to me and whispers “Mom, I am going to receive the Eucharist kneeling and on the tongue today.” I have never received Him any other way since then. Despite what the debate might be within the Church, I know the Lord has called me to receive Him in this way.

Mass at our NO mass is 1 hr and 20 min. Kneelers are brought out and our priest is in no hurry. We say many prayers in Latin as well. We are blessed to have him.

I always kneel and receive on the tongue . Our priest has kneelers at daily novis ordo Mass and our Sunday and Wed Latin Masses of course. I've kneeled down for communion in the English Mass since I was a teenager. So about 25 years. I've only had trouble about 3 times with different priests.

My family and I receive Holy Communion kneeling and on the tongue, all five of us. By God’s grace, my priest put kneelers in front of the altar for this reason. He also assigns two sets of people on either side of the altar to watch for parishioners who try to walk back to their seat without consuming the Body of Christ given them. Some people still receive in the hand but more and more people are using the kneelers and it is such a blessing!

A Canadian here; in our church everybody received standing, until about 6 months ago when a kneeler is placed in front of the table, some of us do kneel since then. I do too, and receive on my tong…. I was taught that we kneel to receive our Lord JESUS. We were also told that when the tabernacle is opened, revealing the Devine presence, we were to kneel. In my parish, we have kneelers for those who wish to receive our Lord on our knees.

Anytime we humble ourselves. I love when people kneel. To me it shows that people are moved by the importance and are showing ultimate reverence. I love the rail for communion. You do feel more humble. I love that you said that we are being fed by the hand of the father. It's not a symbol. It's the blessed sacrament. The presence of Jesus in the sacrament. Devotion is everything.

I left my local NO parish because of the older 70s era Modernist pastor who doesn't allow kneeling or on the tongue reception of Holy Communion. He literally said he doesn't like "slobber". How sad really. Another parish nearby allows it, and encourages use of the altar rails. I won't say where due to fear of reprisal. He's a young and good priest with Traditional leanings and is slowly implementing Latin, ad orientum and proper sacred music.

We receive communion kneeling at a communion rail at our Novus Ordo church here in Kansas City, Missouri, & on the tongue- just about the entire parish here does actually. Just the priests distribute Holy Communion alone. This has been going on for the last 12 years since our previous pastor came and it has continued with our newest pastor.

I kneel for Our Lord!!! I received,in Medjugore, a wound in my right knee and couldn't kneel for a number of months. I submitted with humility to offering the sacrifice of not kneeling, it was difficult. Then, when at a healing service the word from God "right knee" was called out I responded, was prayed over, and was miraculously healed! I remain conscious of God's healing every single time I kneel before Our Lord ❤ Thank You Jesus! Thy name be praised forevermore.

I believe all need to kneel for communion and receive the Eucharist on the tongue. With all do respect to cardinal cupich, you would think that he would praise parishioners that kneel while receiving communion. We left the archdiocese of Chicago because of Cupich. Our parish in Kansas City, MO uses the communion rails and integrates as much Latin in the Mass as possible. We feel blessed.
