Yes, the correct answer should be [e^{at} -1]/a.

Question to self: was wondering where the s went at 7:14, but realized you get it cause integrating a derivative nets you an s, as well as f(0).

Hi Sir Trefor! I think you're wrong with the inverse laplace of (1/(s*(s-a)); you answer its inverse is e^(at)/a - 1. The expression (1/(s*(s-a)) can be expand to 1/(a*(s-a) - 1/as, then if you implement the inverse laplace; the answer is e^(at)/a - 1/a .

Hi, is there an expression for the inverse Laplace transform of a s-domain function like the one we have for the inverse Fourier transform i.e. (1/2*pi)* integral(X(w)*e^(jwt)*dw)=x(t) ?

The three computer generated solutions show that the -1 in the solution at 7:42 of this video is should be changed to 1/a.

Pp often make the mistake where x-> infinity (e^-ax) = 0. Sir, this is only true when a > 0
