The interview with Lukas and Michi (4.18): L: HI my name is Lukas an I am playing David in DRUCK: M: Hi i am Michi and i am playing Matteo in DRUCK. I: In DRUCK your characters have a tough time and struggle with a lot of problems. What about you personally, how did you became more confident in yourself? L: I think it helps if you take a look around and think about who you really are. In youth you often tend to adjust to other people or to be in good terms with everybody. But that shoud not be your goal - just be yourself and then you will find people who fit to you. M: My father taught me very early to be myself and i think that is the key: To realize that if you are yourself the people will like you the most. Then automatically you will be confident because you are pure with yourself (german phrase, i dont know if you can translate it like that). I: And how about friendship? Which values do you think are most important? L: I think honesty is really important. I want friends who say to it my face if they dont like something i did. And trust and loyalty, so when you tell them a secret for example that they keep it. M: Yes, definitely honesty and loyalty - the fundament of every friendship. I: What do you want to achieve in the future, what is the most important thing for you? M: To never get stuck. I always need change, something new. It is working quite well at the moment and i think i can be really happy if it continues like that. L: Yeah, to try new things, to never settle with one thing and to allow yourself to grow and not to be like: "Oh i will stay like this because people like me like this" and tpo give yourself space and to live. I: Could you imagine doing something different than acting? L: Acting is my dream job but i could also imagine working behind the scenes, for example writing the script or directing because sometimes i have the urge to tell stories. In that way you can connect those things. M: Yeah, me too. If something else, i would like to direct although i think i would never direct a movie which i did not write because i am not sure if i could tell the story right. I: So you can imagine writing the script, too? M: Yes, i like writing. I: Lukas, what would be your advise for your character? L: In the third season he should not run away that often and in the fourth season..I think with his dream of directing it shows how it can be if you really want something but dont know how to do it. I would give him the advise to stop pressuring himself that much, to breathe out sometimes and to trust himself and the people who support him. For the international fans :) It is not perfect and not word by word but i hope it helps some of you! Alt er love

INTERVIEW IN ENGLISH Interview with the girls clique at 14:58 (sorry my english is not the best but this took me nearly 3 hours haha and yes I was quite bored lol) I take the first capital letter from their characters NOT from their real names. Everyone introduces herself. I (Interviewer): You guys are playing a clique in DRUCK. Are you good friends in your private life too? K (Kiki): Yes, we’re good friends and I’m very glad about that. We shooted 4 seasons in nearly 2 years and that’s an intensive time we spared together with. Therefore we spent a lot of time together so of course a friendship developed between us. I am still in contact with my girls. We have a WhatsApp group where we send photos in, tell us what’s going on in our life and where we are. So we maintain our friendship very well. I: What’s the name of your WhatsApp group? K: Now? Because we have more than one group. The group we wrote right before this event is called “DRUCK only girls”. Of course there’s also a group with the boys. A (Amira): There are these emojis similar to all of us each, you know? And Milena (Mia) used instead of a girl with a headscarf (I couldn’t find the exactly description Amira used) an Indian man with a turban haha... And now everyone has its own emoji. I: Your characters have lots of troubles, how was that for you? Did you guys have a girls group in your past for talking about everything? H (Hannah): Yes, I had many girls groups. I think it‘s very special that the girls group in DRUCK has such a strong cohesion. Because I had girls groups that changed like every half years. There were lots of discussions and that was very stressful. Of course the girls clique in DRUCK argues too but in the end they always stick together and I would have liked that in my past too. K: I think that’s very realistic in DRUCK because at the beginning Hannah was part of Leonie‘s clique. And then after this thing with Jonas she is looking for new friends. That’s why our group develops and they have a strong cohesion. I: Do you have any tips for girls cliques to make them more stable, to support each other instead of arguing? What could help, what could you tell yourself? S (Sam): You should trust yourself. Also in difficult situations you should say your opinion instead of blandishing everything. If you don’t say the truth it doesn’t work. A: In DRUCK I found the group I never had. I just had one best friend and it was exactly that friendship Sam told us how you should not act...for example not telling the truth about your feelings and so on. In fact I found my real friends after my school leaving examination. Therefore in DRUCK I lived the life I never had in the past. I noticed that there is a lot of envy between girls, for example no one is begrudging someone anything. In DRUCK that is not the case. You should accept each other, you should support each other. Sometimes there’s a crew head. In DRUCK it was a little bit like that but not that extreme like it is in reality. In real life there is the ugly one, the victim... I remember in the yearbook the good looking girls were searching other good looking ones to push themselves each other. That was crazy. And in DRUCK this was not the case. K: To add something what Amira said: I noticed when two girls are going around, one is very shiny and the other one is the grey mousie. I’ve always asked myself why is that, is it because the one girl is feeling better than the other one? Generally I think at this age it is usual that maybe you play someone off against someone. Because you are in a development process, you don’t know where you wanna go and who you are. You want to try things as much as possible and probably that’s why you also want as much as possible for yourself. Maybe that’s a reason why you are difficult at this age and why friendships could become difficult. In DRUCK I think that’s very good based on the situation between Kiki, Mia and Alex... I: Could you explain the situation between these three? K: Mia is in love with Alex and the other way around. But Kiki has an affair with Alex. She is in love with him too and tells the girls group about it. So of course for Mia it is very difficult to tell Kiki that she is in love with Alex and that she thinks he has the same feelings for her instead of Kiki. She is afraid of breaking Kiki’s heart. That’s also the case but Kiki gets stronger and forgives Mia very fast. She sees that they match very good and she stays above it. I think that’s very good. I: For Mia it’s difficult because she don’t wanna be Kiki and Alex as a couple, she thinks Alex isn’t a good influence for Kiki, isn’t that? What do you think could be a good solution to tell a friend something like that? M: I think you always want the best for your best friend. I would also help my best friend if she was in a situation like Kiki. So I would act in the same way like Mia does. I: What did you two learned about friendship through DRUCK (based on Mia and Kiki)? M: I definitely learned to accept the differences in a friendship of a clique. Actually it’s good to hear different opinions and to learn from everyone. K: I would say something similar like Mia did. For me it was totally new to work with Amira together because I didn’t know a muslima living her religion so intensive like she does. I didn’t know anything about her culture. The reason that I spent a lot of time with her completely opened my eyes. It’s a very good friendship between her and I’m very glad about that. I can only join Mia. I think you always want to find a clique with people that are similar to you. But actually it’s much nicer to have diverse people, new perspectives... M: It doesn’t get boring either haha I: Amira you said you grew up in Egypt. How is it for you when you hear someone does not know that much about your religion? A: So I was born in Egypt and lived there with my family. And since about twelve years I live here in Germany. I always had very good friends who were muslims and knew about my religion. But after I worked with the DRUCK team together it was completely new for me because I always had to explain the people about my culture. I remember that Mia told me, without being mad at her, that she thought we have to wear a headscarf. Different people told me that I have opened their eyes, that they learned something from me, that they didn’t know you can live in a way like that. I am very very glad about knowing that I can help other people, to show them that you are able to live as a Muslim. For sure there are people who live their life differently than me. But I think it’s very important that people can see you are different than you are presented in the media. People see that we are just normal girls who can have fun too. I never thought that the DRUCK team could be such a huge family for me. I: Thank you girls for being there and see you.
