Pestilence does damage 1 by 1, so to keep a skeleton in the battlefield with 2 activations of pestilence, you need to play BB (one per pestilence activation), not only B (which is what I think I can see being done during the game).

Alpha 40 rules: You get to choose (e.g. tap 1 Swamp for 1 damage at a time or 2+ Swamps for 2+ damage in 1 instance).

Got through the deck teck and I found a way to tweak your deck.Get rid of the terrors as well as 1 icy and add in an additional demonic horde and 2 ankhs of mishra.

Great suggestions. I'll pass it on to Dyan (it's his deck). I wonder if he has those cards in Alpha and I wish I had more Alpha cards. The terror didn't perform very well with all the black decks, so that's def a card I would cut as well.

Can you actually Draw with Pestilence when one player has less life than the other? Each activation of Pestilence stacks and after the first point of damage resolves, your opponent on 1 life should die immediately, right?

Every time I watch Alpha 40 I want to play Alpha 40....then I realize I have only a hand full of Alpha cards and they are all lame commons....then I go have a cry...Every time. Except for the crying part. :)

@@TimmytheSorcerer Pretty sure that's exactly what he said. It's also people hording their cards and especially the "collectors" blue balling wizards to never reprint any kind of vintage or legacy staples so their toys will be worth more. Really shady shit
