Glad you explained and suggested the wood backing. I just bought this mount and already prepared myself for going into the attic to put backing in lol

I have a Vivo, ( different model ), on a 65'' screen above my fireplace. Good price and a great product. What you save with a mount like this, is that you don't need a cabinet to place it on. You could also have a wall mount, but down stairs a ceiling mount, will get it out of the way, when you need to. ( yes you do need some good bolts / large screws into wood!!)

Can this be used outdoors? (Gazebo) Thanks
@drueking Жыл бұрын
I don’t see why not as long as it secure. The way it’s built I think it will be ok outside as long as it doesn’t get directly wet.

Is there a place to plug the TV in on the mount or do you have to go to the outlet with the TV as well?

What is the model tv you have? I am wondering the dimensions of your 55" tv as well as the weight.
@drueking10 ай бұрын
It's a Hisense, nothing fancy to be sure, but it is not too bad on weight, if I were to guess, I would say around 20 lbs.

Yes it can, you can hit stop at any time

Also, it is adjustable so you can set it up to always stop at a certain height.

are the front two mounting hole and the back two 16in apart?
@drueking Жыл бұрын
Not 100% sure, I can’t get the casing off, but I don’t think so. There are mounting holes on the left and right side, about 4 in apart and I think they are closer together than 16” front to back. I had to add extra framing in the attic anyway because my garage joists are 24” apart.

When folded, how much space is taken up between the screen and the ceiling?
@drueking Жыл бұрын
The whole thing including the tv is about 7”. Between the tv and the ceiling is about 3.5” including the mounting panels bolted to the back of the tv
