I'm from Tangier, and the old Medina is dodgy as hell hahahaha but it's all about how you navigate your way through the alleyways and how you carry yourself, we Tangerian natives are very familiar with visiting foreigners so you don't have to worry as much! Tangier has always been knows as a melting pot of people from all across the world, we had many prominent artists, intellectuals and musicians who fell in love with the unique culture here and were inspired to create! Also thank you for helping that young man brother, you actually helped buy basic groceries for his family! God bless you man, and welcome any time!

I was in Tangier 3 days ago and this old guy followed me into the exact same shop begging me to buy him oil. I declined and gave him a euro. I thought the oil request was odd at the time, now I think it's a scam with the shop keeper. Possibly they give straight back and split the money? 🤔

Lol yeah because am thinking the oil is way too expensive. It was my first day too lol

It is a scam of course. Never buy food or oil. Just give them few dirhams.

10:32 There’s no oil in Morocco that costs a 100 or 50 DH! I don’t know how these people can sleep at night by telling tourists all these lies 🤣

I'm a Tangier native, oil prices have skyrocketed as of the past couple of years, and that price range is totally legit!
