Notice how when he talks about his "crime that sent him upstate" he gets distracted by a bird and then loses his train of thought? This is because he's making up a story. What he's saying isn't from memory, it's make believe. This dude reminds me of a dude I was in the Corps with. The guy was also full of shit and didn't realize how bogus his stories sounded. I couldn't stand him.
@charlescarter4608

Exactly. He has to keep doing those awkward pauses, and keeps pretending to get distracted, to buy himself time to think of the next bs he's gonna come up with, that he's literally making up as he goes along. This dude is embarrassing af.

An easy way to tell someone is lying when telling a story is when they get real specific on little details that don’t matter. They divert from the story they’re fabricating in order to give them more time to think about their next lie

Best advice I ever heard from a black man right here which is to make that move as far away from all your friends in the hood ,drop em like a hot rock & get stepping even if it means selling everything you own to get a fresh start , I came to America from African Libya with $460 in my pocket & could only say 3 words in English , I joined the Marine Corps to learn to be a man & all that did was make me more Savage ,so of course after 3 combat tours within months of getting back to the world I caught a case & went inside for 3 - 5 , I worked in the sheet metal trade school & got out in 25 months which is a trip because the judge who signed off on my release took into consideration the 25 months I served in combat tours in Nam , I went right back to the same hood in Detroit where all my friends were now YBI ,that's an 80s gang called Young Boys Incorporated & they was riding around in Benzs & Masarattis ,instead of clicking up I shot a move & bought a house 3 doors down from the biggest trap house on the east side & rented my yard to the YBIs I knew so they could keep their stash hidden from 5-0 , as soon as I made enough money to buy a real house in the burbs my ass was gone ,not having a hood address gave me the opportunity to join a trade union & become a journeyman ,with my extra money I didn't wine & dine my girl ,I bought houses in detroit where old white people were willing to take any amount just to get away from the drug scene & I rented those houses to all section 8 people ,within 5 years I owned over 30 houses to the 68 rental properties I currently own and collect rent while collecting my union pension , so far this year my stock portfolio has made just over $65,000 in dividends & we're only at the 3rd quarter , my life changed where job opportunities that would never be available to me suddenly became open for me just by changing my address and stopping wearing street clothing , dress for success & GTFO of the hood & you'll go 100x further in life .

Big "C", this is what people need to see right before they get out. Everyday, prior to their release. You go into a little room, solo, you listen to the good word. I always tell the young cats, don't go back to your neighborhood. I wish you prosperity and abundance; peace of mind.
