Back in 2015 one of my buddies went to a regional at the height of the nekroz format with chain burn. He got 15th place at a regional. The height of yugioh in my opinion was the shaddoll/burning abyss format. That was the last time i remember that you could enter a tournament with a rogue deck and have a solid chance of topping. Other than that, infernoid was always a good rogue deck that you could compete with. Its never really taken a hit with the ban list. Except when reasoning took a hit on the ban list when it went to 1. But then monster gate went to three, so realisticly the deck is better off now than it ever was. The only thing that could make it better is blaster being unbanned.

real tournaments have a time limit. and id take a time limit and all my effects working by themselves over waiting 30 mins for an admin cause my opponent is dumb and doesnt know the rules

The Dev time limit is actually one of the reasons why I prefer Dev over DN. With the time limit, you don't get any situations where you start doing good, and the opponent decides to go AFK, and you only start realizing it after sitting there for some time, figuring that the guy is still thinking about his move.

Time limit makes people more alert and is one of the little things that helps resolves games in Devpro. If you want to do real duels, go to competitive locals or tourneys and get it straight up there. Mind games included since I pride myself in having a semi-perpetual poker face. While my anti-meta friend is always suggesting moves to you when you match with him.

Dn is a much more realistic dueling experience. In a real duel, you won't be reminded to use your effects like you are on devpro. Devpro is a good starting point for new players but most good players would agree that DN is the more realistic simulator, and as such, the simulator that best prepares you for actual play
