At almost 60 years old this is not my type of music, more Indie, Punk, Jazz, Reggae and Shoegaze, but this is great. I am also a keen cyclist so would have loved to have been part of this gathering. Glad this popped up on my list.

DnB/Jungle be rooted in Reggae, and the soundsytem culture...Which eventually developed into "acid house parties" and then "raves" in the west. Also heavily tied with punk culture since the "acid house' parties of the early scene often hosted at punky venues, and even had punk bands playing beforehand. It was essentially electronic shoegaze like music back then.

It got completely ruined and destroyed and got turned into some annoying meme music. Jungle was about to become commercial in the mid 90's but thanks to Drum N Bass, it was saved and went back to underground where it belonged. Also I remember the States trying to do Grime, and it was so horrible. So I truly hope the US never touches Garage, Jungle and DnB.
