I chose Africa from Toto this week on reccomendation from my wife. It was the only take i filmed and Again, my own interpretation and having fun the whole way through. There are mistakes but it is what it is. i may revisit this one ;D. Hope you like it. please leave a comment, Like and subscribe and i'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks Jay 🙏🏻🫶🏻☺️ I know it’s not Verbatim but like all my covers up until now.. Just playing them how they feel to me. I should probably practice them a bit more before recording and funnily enough.. this is the only take I did. Unstoppable didn’t make the grade this week. After watching it back😂

Hi Nancy, Thanks for watching and for your Comment! 🙏🏻 Even if it’s a rhetorical question, i plan on every doing breakdowns and tutorials of some of my drum covers and the beats and fills i‘m playing. „Africa“ was one alot of my students ask for. I think the key is the bass drum pattern and playing behind the beat slightly. That and i flam the backbeat a little. That and i really feel the groove while i‘m playing it. Love this song.
