Hey Nick, thanks for the encouraging words! For kick speed, I would practice using the Moeller technique (two strikes for one limb movement) just as you would on your hands, but for your leg. This should enable you to do two kick strikes quite quickly.

how would u compare these to cymbals made by other cymbal makers(sabian,zildjian, etc...)

I think they are more versatile, since they sound good when played soft or hard. I find that only the top end zildjian/sabians are like this, but still don't sound as good. In Canada, Sabian/Zildjian are also much more expensive.
