One of the best covers i´ve ever seen of this song! AWESOME!!! ^^

Thanks my friend! It's a Yamaha Stage Custom Standard drum kit. Great set I've had it for almost 10 years now. I believe I remember the snare head being a Remo Coated Emperor and the toms were Evans EC2's.

@Mikeondrums2412 жыл бұрын
hahaha thank you! glad someone appreciated that fill, it was a tough one to get down. the feet and the hands are playing sixteenths but on opposite limbs. so the right hand comes down with the left foot and the left hand comes down with the right foot. definitely a lick i had to run through a few times before i hit the studio

my friend i greatly appreciate your support! there is a great deal of feeling and emotion that comes with playing a song like this. then again every song no matter what kind of music pairs with a specific feeling, its what helps you play them the best that you possibly can. teaches you not only how to play the parts but how to hit the drums, what kind of power and touch you need to put behind every stroke. i had a great time doing this video

Haha well I'm honored that I could be used as your example. It's funny because I never considered myself a metal drummer and I don't even remember what made me want to cover this song. I guess I try to be able to play everything as well as I can. What could be more fun than metal drumming, right? So I went with this cool tune haha. Thanks for the support my friend!

@Mikeondrums2411 жыл бұрын
no problem my friend. the kick follows the guitar riff. snare is on 2 and 4 so whenever you come down on the snare you hold back on the kick. the kick drum hits are on 1 & (2) e & a (3) e & (a) (4) e & a (1) e & (a) (2) e & a (3) e & (a) (4) e & a and repeat. All the beats in parentheses are not played on the kick drum. You can use whatever foot pattern is most comfortable for you I prefer using whatever feet line up to a sixteenth note grid so r r lrl lr lrl lr. hope this helped lol
@Mikeondrums2412 жыл бұрын
thanks so much! haha more to come i promise! once the funds permit more recording at least lol

Wow that must be the first time I've heard a zildjian symbal I liked. Most of them have way to much sustain for metal. Lol now that I look at your video again, I see al of your symbals are zildjian, maby it's because of the recording equipment that makes the symbals sound better. Anyway, I like with how much energy and feeling you drum :)!
@Mikeondrums2412 жыл бұрын
thanks brotha glad you enjoyed it stay tuned for more as soon as i stop being broke and make enough money to do it again lol

hahaha yeah i must say i am a zildjian guy. not to say there aren't some real nice sounding sabian cymbals as well though. you may not be able to see but my ride cymbal is actually a sabian. only one i own but i love that thing! glad you enjoyed the video! this is what i do, its what makes me who i am so this is where all my energy and feeling goes haha stay tuned for more coming this summer!!!
@Mikeondrums2411 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much, I've got another one coming out soon with new kit
@Mikeondrums2412 жыл бұрын
glad you approve ;) hahaha with this cover and the other one that i posted around the same time (A7X Bat Country) i tried my hardest to stay faithful to the original recording. theres enough going on with the drums already so that I don't necessarily have to change much or anything at all to make a good cover out of it. so after a lot of close listening this is pretty much exactly what I got out of it. As close to what Chris Adler plays as I can get. glad youre enjoyin my videos though!
@Soda_F110 жыл бұрын
Please tell me how is the feet pattern at 0:43? great cover!!!
@Mikeondrums2410 жыл бұрын
Very simple my friend. The feet follow the guitar riff. So basically what you hear coming from the guitar is what you're going to play on your feet. Leave out the kick drum on beats 2 & 4 because you'll be playing the snare on those beats. Here is the kick drum pattern broken down into a 16th note subdivision for you.. Using the frame 1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a 1 & (2) e & a (3) e & 4 e & a (1) e & (2) e & a (3) e & (4) e & a and repeat Hope this gibberish helped lol thanks for the view and the feedback!
