“The winds of change have begun to blow
eyes of the world on the rise of Feng
a white veiled drum accompanies a lone crow
across the mountains, a single ember glow
the worms wake
the mountain shakes
the lotus, mandrake
all bend to the rise of the new dawn
a distant cry breaks the stillness
as the people gather under the wintry sky
chasing away the snow of blue
with dance, music and ritual
the flute sings
the metals ring
the sound of drums
brings forth the promise of spring”
