Bro I had my MPC Live less than 5 months. I must say thank you for getting me this far... I mostly use it as a tool for drums swing, progression and the richness then track it in my DAW.. Thanks you for making these videos simple and to the point..

Ayo! The Cypress Hill clip during the drum break had me rollin’. 🤣🤣🤣 Classic ‘90s moves! Great tutorial as usual. I’m a fan of using the low frequencies in the sample for my basslines, but I use a different method to achieve this, so I gotta try your technique out. As always, thanks for sharing, bro! ✊🏾

thanks for watching bro n lol foreal that was the signature move then and which method do you use?

@@JaeFreshmen Basically, on my bassline chops, I add AIR Filter, choose either LP2, LP3 or LP4, and take the cutoff frequency down significantly to isolate the bass. Then I add a Para EQ and boost the low end, and finally I add the MPC60 effect. I’d say 90% of the time, this gives me a sound that I like.

@@JayFingers i will try this way too thanks for sharing

Some times with a filterd bass its good to put the odd 808 kick coming in hear and there just one or two just to give it a bit of bounce

I wanna say that I use my MPC like a drum machine and console, how so; I record my vocals raw in Logic for tracking and arranging, then take the stems and toss em into the Live for solely mixing and mastering. THAT WARMTH & CRISPNESS!

Newbie question: How did you know which pads to play so that the bass was in the right key? I heard when you said the sample was in A minor, but how did you know which pads to play? Thank you.

Awesome! content man! I got a million $ questiom if you happen to know it, if i may ask , that Akai cant figure out,.Why is it every time I save my session another loop from another previous session statts playing then have to wait for it to end! how come? just curious as it give the track a more complete feeling , and which genre do you make?

Won't just duplicating the chop program to another program to the bass track just work. 8:18 I didn't understand why you went to the original chop program again to copy the track once more. Why do you need the midi information?
@JaeFreshmen7 ай бұрын
when you duplicate the program it doesn't duplicate the midi and i need the midi so it can play the same pattern as the chop and then i just use the lowend
@ahleempennyfeather186 ай бұрын
I see. Is that the same process for plugins when separating the highs and the lows on different tracks?
