As a professional drummer I really enjoy your point of view, especially the catering section lol. Anyway, I’m really thankful to my drum tech and appreciate the massive job you guys do for us every night and it’s really sad that sometimes no one notices the importance of what you do. Btw I see all your videos till the end! (Sorry for any mistake, I’m Italian :)) Cheers!

Hyped! Thank you so much for making these. The longer the better, and your editing is very enjoyable too. I wish more people working BTS on gigs took inspiration from your videos.

I covered for a famous band before playing guitar for a couple shows a while back. I always felt bad that i was not able to help setup coming from local shows so it was weird for me to sit in a green room running through songs. i get it, but it was strange to have someone who knew exactly the setup i needed with guitars to play an arena. It was something else to rely on the guitar techs but they knew what was up. it was amazing to help with strain playing a 2 hour show compared to setting it up...THEN playing the show and breaking it down. it was an experience to say the least. good job on drums my man.

Just found your channel Matt and it's great. I had a magic & illusion show for years, and it was a lot of hard pre-show work. But this humbled me. People just don't realize the well oiled machine of technicians working behind the scenes on a show this size. You guys are true pros and make it all happen.

Hi Matt. Thank you for another cool video. I watched all the way through. I was a local stage hand for 14 years and am also a hug e fan of Luke Holland so your videos have twice the appeal to me. Its like having a flashback of being at work and it's a positive flashback. Seeing Luke's set up in these videos feels like a privelige so it must feel like an honour to be the person that gets to take care of them daily. During load in, I was shocked to see you and the local crew guy go straight for the handles when lowering the smaller case that was riding on the drum case. I was taught - never trust handles on cases. Thanks again for sharing your videos. Be safe and have a great tour. Cheers

Hey Matt, it is cool to watch a pro do something I have done hundreds of times. Not a big fan of the pitch bend. I like to tune the bottom head a bit higher than batter so that won't happen. But, it all seems to work well and you clearly know how to tune quickly and effectively for your drummers. Your videos are fun to watch.

Allthough the scale is somewhat bigger (as a Dutch drummer in a alternative band i played big stages and festivals but this is all a serious level above that) all the rest Matt does really hits home.... did all this stuff myself so often i dreamt about it! all those stuff in flightcases and bags..the vibes backstage....I love setting the drums up, changing heads, tuning, doing maintanance...and then the drumming itself ofcourse! Getting strangely nervous again when seeing the moments just before go show! You are a true professional...Great work and vids man!

DW toms should always be tuned to their note for true resonance unless you are tuning them way high for jazz.. "For people who don't know DW have an imprint of the shells key on the inside of the drum before hardware is added" When done correctly they sing and its shows me every time I think they are in tune to actually being "In tune"
