Thank you for the fine playing and for showcasing the capabilities of this kit for triggering an outside source through the MIDI connection. I greatly enjoy the software kit in the computer more than the DM6 module sounds, but it looks like the pads did a pretty good job of tracking the hits....especially liked the ride....also stole a little from the ergonomics of your setup (just got mine, and your playing is a fine model to aspire toward). Monstrous stuff around 3:48 - 4:05...yow!

Sounds awesome dude! Makes me want to grab a kit. Sounds 1000x better than the Alesis built-in kits.

Which AD kit are you using here? Snappy.

HOLY SHIT, that is some inspired playing. You are about the ONLY decent drummer on KZbin doing a demo of an Alesis kit. THANK YOU. I was thinking of getting a DM8, as it seems like a better all around kit, but then, the way you rock this one with the addition of the Addictive Drums software, this kit seems to be AWESOME, and it seems really flexible and responsive. Tell me, should I just get the lower priced DM6 and jack it up using the Addictive Drums?

Amazing what you can do w/ $150 software and $400 drum kit...almost sounds real!

Do you have to have a DRUM software to play it on or can you like just use a music software like say Audacity?
@TheSlayerswe11 жыл бұрын
How did you make it work in your DAW? After i connected it and openend AD and set recording device on all midi outpus, nothing happend.
@brandonallen438810 жыл бұрын
You have to change the pattern output on the AM6 to midi. ON YOUR DM6: Press PATTERN to select Pattern Select Mode Press VALUE +/- to select "--n", That will output midi to USB rather than the drum sounds themselves which is what happens by default.

Hi, awesome drumming by the way... I have a question. How did you get so low latency, between dm6 and the addictive? I have been trying to lower it with my pt or on standalone mode with ezdrummer2 but I'm getting so much latency Im just about to deciding on selling the dm6 I just got

hey man, cool video. i have the same kit and i use the same software, but there is a slight delay in the output from the software. did you face the same problem? how'd you fix it?
@browellr8 жыл бұрын
havent tried myself, but with usb recording and midi stuff, you could always try; - upgrade the driver - change your latency buffer value to zero or close to it - make sure your using an ASIO driver if you want low latency - get a better computer
@gabrielseri12 жыл бұрын
how doy you opnen and close hi hat??? i've hearded that you cant do it with addictive drums

I read somewhere this kit doesn't send velocity data over MIDI, is this true?
@Jadell9 жыл бұрын

Hi, just download a software called ASIO4ALL n install n in d top left corner of d addictive open d asio as d sound card n adjust d latency from there ....

You´re saying bad things about an software not the kit itself. And VSTs are waaay better than modules sounds no doubt.

Kit sounds great!!.... Drumming is lacking. lol
@DrummerGrrrl11 жыл бұрын
Yeah. But even the crappiest drum set can be slightly redeemed by using quality VST software. Maybe it's the particular kit sound from the VST that sounds so bad here. I am not a big fan of that rattling loose snare drum sound. Also, the cymbal sounds are just so bland.
