It’s actually pretty common nowadays. Just mix the hi-hats and you get a better sound, just because the hi-hats have the worst response on electric kits. Also hi-hats on electric kits has multi action response and doesn’t pick up real well in recording.

Because real hi hats are extremely sensitive , u just tap it and u get a loud sound, electric hit hats tend to be non responsive if u dont hit it right or hard enough. Elec. hats are just to different from real.
