What a beautiful kit and outstanding video! How long did it take for you to get them after ordering, and what was the ordering process like? Did you go through a vendor? Thanks!

Thanks 😊 I ordered through a drum shop (Drum Center of Portsmouth, NH). From the time I first reached out to them, to actually getting the drums was almost a year. I was told it was a bit longer due to stock issues for one of the woods. In my case, I knew almost everything I wanted in advance (I had been planning for several months). I did have some questions though. For what they couldn't answer off hand, they asked DW on my behalf, and I got my answers in just a couple of days.

@@drumdrumdrum How on earth did you decide on the shell construction (HXV, VLT, etc.), did you just go with what DCP/DW recommended? And thanks for the response!

I went with the default shell grain orientation, and was focused more on the wood options (i think the different orientations are mostly offered for maple anyhow). I did see there were different purpleheart options based what I saw in the market, and indicated I wanted the 13 ply, which was their standard (the timekeeper snare shell I believe was only 11 ply if I recall).

Purpleheart snare, PurpleCore Maple kick, Cherry/Mahogany toms. This is one incredible drum kit that was a year in the making. Today we're going to hear the initial sound that these drums have to offer. This is straight from the factory - no head swap or tuning has been done.

Is that a little damage on the reinforcement ring in the kick drum? Or dirt?

I don't think there was any damage. They did apply the Mapa Burl finish to the ring.
