I remember watching a news piece about him marching with the blue devils in 2014 and he was 16 at the time, add five years to account for 2019 and he's 21. I think you may be confused cause he took 2017 off and then came back the year after with a full beard lol, so he probably just appeared as a new drummer or something

Personally as a bass player I think The Blue Bangers bass line is better, mostly due to there books usually holding more awkward and technical patterns, but still having high velocity runs, ooey ooeys and hand to hands, but BD Bass is still hella fire! Honestly they both are tied!

Obviously every judge has a bias but if the judges were biased towards BD they why would have vanguard beat them in percussion the last three years. BD beat vanguard at finals in percussion (not overall because vanguard beat them the two night prior) because they were cleaner. That's that. You can hate BD all you want but it wasn't bias that won it. It was their piss clean finals run

@Cassandra Garcia News Flash: Look at everyone's technique in the Blue Devils... see that? All the same. Now take a look at SCV where they sacrifice technique. Almost everyone in the line is different. BD does not sacrifice technique for sound quality and they're scoring highest on finals day. It takes A LOT to clean technique and beats, whereas SCV only really cleans their beats.

@@joeyscotch2765 Each of the sections were showing off some of their section features. While the basses and snares were playing, the quads walked off (presumably for a quick sectional). Then the basses and snares stopped playing and looked at the quads, who were holding a spock roll about 200 feet away and slowly marching towards the ensemble. I think this emulated a part of the show where the quads are way off on side 2 of the field, holding a spock roll by themselves.
