I've been a Ludwig drummer for 30 years. With that said, (Deep breath) these are quite possibly the best sounding drums I've ever heard, especially his snare! Man that was so easy to say I'm scaring myself. This guy rips so hard his timing is impeccable his pocket is perfect his groove is flawless. Watching him play makes me feel like I need to go to Toys r Us and buy a Hello Kitty kit and start all over.

A big part of his sound is his recording process. He uses 24 tracks for one drum take and about $50,000 worth of microphones. When I found this out I gave up trying to record acoustic drums and bought a Roland V-Drum kit instead.
