Now that I have seen all of the Zildjian lives I can say this is my second favorite one behind Larnell Lewis. This song is just so artistic, it makes you feel something. Plus, I love all of the changes and odd time signatures.

@7:33 - that's Tony Royster Jr who is BACK with Zildjian. The untold story is that usually when you leave Zildjian...their things was...once you leave, do not come back. Well that rule had since been dropped. There has been some great and good reform when it comes to being endorsed by Zildjian now. It's better than what it was then. Kaz sees color when he plays music so you can yell chords all day and he won't understand a thing. You yell YELLOW and its a whole different thing.

I talked to him about this at NAMM 2020. When he switches to the the 16th notes at 6:50 on the snare, he uses that to lock his brain with his body. You can even see his foot change on the high hat when he internalizes it. Just a shredding last 60 seconds or so. Really killer.

The fact that Kaz did all this in Timberland boots and a cut off flannel cannot go unrecognized. Lol

I was so lucky that I got to meet Nate and Mono at the Ghost-Note show I went to earlier this year before the Covid nightmare started. They were hanging out near the sound engineers to watch the openers, which was the freaking BBC (Brandon Brown Collective). To get to see both of those bands for like $20, I think, was unreal. It was one of the best nights I've had in a long damn time and as awesome as Ghost-Note was, I think the BBC equaled them. They were just so damn awesome, too!
