Seen 13 times live and they kill it. Blake is insane and anything he does add to the music is mind blowing. Did something nuts at the end of Alaska one time I saw them live.

Sharing with the BTFAM! Glad you liked the track, I highly encourage you to spin the entire album! They're one of those full album experience bands.

Their sound thrives in a conceptual environment. It's tough to start where you did without the whole theme, so good work for trying it out.

Noticed I put a thumbs up but did not comment on the video. As usual a very cool reaction, what impresses me the most about Blake Richardson, besides his versatility and technics, is definitely his memory I am wondering how he remembers all this, especially on songs that are even longer or more complex that this one :D There are a ton of drummers you could react to, and you already reacted to one of my suggestions, but here is a short list of stuff you could react to: - Paul Seidel - Jurassic/Cretaceous - Sylvain Bouvier - Damballa's Voodoo Doll - For more extreme drumming definitely check Jamie St Merat - Dead Oceans , absolutely mindblowing Cheers,

I can't fully disagree. I picked the washburn out of my brothers room ten years ago after listening to Colors live like I was in a trance ( the reoccurring themes within a progression made to conclude is great to me) But it's all subjective. I usually listen to them without others around. I will add that compositionally, they are top tier, highly practiced musicians.

@@commonclayofthenewwest6045 I hear you. I love so many bands. The majority of them fail me with their song-writing sensibilities, but that doesn't mean I don't still love everyone of their individualistic and creative interpretations of sound structure. Each and every band is unique and has something for someone to enjoy, but personal taste in stylism is the defining element of what's popular and what isn't. I like maybe about 20% of BTBAM's catalog, but what I like, I absolutely adore. I might only love a fraction of their material, but I do because I respect the sheer skill they have as practicing creators. This is a specialist view. Only artistic creators get this. There is no best, only unique differential expressionism. It might sound corny, but personal taste is a representation of one's own soul. Does that make sense to you?
@atthecore45604 жыл бұрын
@@commonclayofthenewwest6045 Side note: Automata I & II is the best material BTBAM has ever done. That's my connect with their energy. It's the vibe I relate to the most. After that; Parallax I & II and Colors are held in massive regard. White Walls is definitely my favourite Song. White Wall defines their entire stylism the most and it's what convinced me that this is a band worth dedicating my time to. As a Composer who understands this, I love art that is formed from indulgence in experimentation. Do what you want to love to create, not what others expect from you. I wouldn't like BTBAM if they didn't do what they intend. Love what you do or it's fake.
