Very insightful reaction! The out of nowhere guitar solos makes more sense during gameplay, since the songs are actually arranged to fit the cinematics during boss fights. I had the goofiest grin when I played all the bosses for the 1st time. As others pointed out, NateWantsToBattle also contributed in this game, called One Way Dream, its more of an uplifting song and a message from the devs

This is my favorite boss song and fight. As a long time Sonic Fan, i was in tears. Not only is this the most visually stimulating boss fight but just that realization that ALL the boss fights are gonna be this cool. Being a fan of Sonic is really a strenuous relationship. Nothing in the games really hooked me like this since Sonic and The Black Knight true final boss where i was fully invested in a flying Super Sonic fight. So this fight and song turned me back into an uncinical 10 year old with a Wii. That combined with the lyrics and sleep deprivation because i was eating up this game day one. Its gonna hold something special in my heart forever. This year i got to see it preformed by a orchestra live at the Sonic Symphony and just... WOW it was incredible.

The boss fight this plays over has two phases. Up until the guitar solo, the first half of the song loops through the boss' first phase. Upon entering the second phase, the guitar solo kicks in and the second half loops. Then the outro plays during Sonic's "final blow".

Hello this is a good reaction but I have one fun fact about this song which most people don't know but I do as a Loveless fan. What does Loveless have to do this you might ask? Well Julian from Loveless wrote this song and such he did demo vocals including the screaming and when Kellin recorded his vocals he decided not to record the screaming. So the screaming you heard was not in fact Kellin Quinn that was Julian from Loveless. Julian produced and wrote tracks for Kellin before and they also sing on a Loveless track together (Someone Else.) So everytime I heard the screaming I went: "hi Julian!" Also I hear Julian in the background, he is such a good singer.
