This is not possible with typical musicians. I was advanced in my teens and early 20's. Here I am at 58 (still drumming) and I'm watching this child of 6 (SIX!) do such complex patterns & coordination... that simply cannot be performed by many musicians... much less a child. Truly amazing to watch!
@DomM35962 жыл бұрын
Exactly! I'm 45 now, been playing bass in many bands for almost 30 years now, with the most outstanding drummers, but man, I simply cannot believe my freaking eyes and ears! 6 years old, man!?!

He's a freak. A genuine prodigy. I've never seen a kid this young this good. None of the other youtube drummers play anything anywhere near as complex as the stuff he does and they're all like double his age. It's mindblowing. His understanding of patterns is unbelievable. I'm glad he gets recognition from great musicians though so far he's gotten the co sign from Joey Jordison, Jay Weinberg, Ray Luzier, Jordan Burns and a few others too and Carmine Appice has taken him under his wing. His eyeless cover and his Tom Sawyer cover are top tier with this.

Most times, when we see a young kid at age 6 or 7 playing covers, they're playing along to AC DC, or Kiss... or other simple songs. I have never, ever seen a kid THIS young playing this kind of prog with odd times signatures and crazy footwork. Wow. The only thing that could possibly screw this kid up (other than maybe drugs or booze when he's older) is if, IF he is not able to handle all the praise (such as my post) and his ego destroys his future career. Let's hope he somehow keeps his feet on the ground.

The fact that he is decently constistent with each hit. As well as the way he hits then rest his hands/arms after each hit is that of of a more advanced player.He has a straight and balanced economy of motion in his arms and his wrists. His wrists are surely beyond the normal looseness and dexterity of a little kid. A relaxness and fluid limb flow,that which one usually obtains once becoming more a seasoned player.

Jason: "His dad must be a drummer." That, and the fact that this is obvious proof of reincarnation of a drummer who said to God, "Look, maybe I messed up in that last life, but give me another chance, dude!" To which God responded, "Ok, you get one more chance, but only if you stop calling me dude!" And, whamo, we watch with amazement as John "Bonzo" Bonham (who was also drumming at age 6) lives now as Caleb H.

Every once in a "Blue Moon" someone comes along that truly is a Prodigy in every sense of the word. Eddie Van Halen, Billy Sheehan, Neil Peart, Randy Rhodes and so on. I look forward to the legacy this young man is going to leave on music over his lifetime. One of the kind of musicians that both makes you want to play (the drums, guitar etc) but at the same time makes you not want to play because you would never be this good at it. 50 years from now imagine what all the drummers will be saying about that one "kid" from the 2016's, is his name going to come up in conversation with the rest of the greats? I think so.
