Funny you said it gives you Kill La Kill vibes because aside from what you just found out here, the Star Guardian skin line is directly inspired by the magical girl genre and pays great homage to it.

There are a lot of songs Sawano has composed, and some of them are very epic, others dramatic like this one! I'd suggest you to review the song "Tranquility" from "Legend of the galactic heroes" in its original version. Also the twin composition "Binary Star / Cage" (2 different songs, make sure to search it separetely because there are some confusion about the names). These were made for the same anime above and are masterpieces - none of these 3 songs have already been reviewed in KZbin, as far as I know. It's curious, but most of Sawano works remains unknown in western countries... I also do love the suit composed for "Kabaneri of the iron fortress" someone mentioned below. And, of course, all the songs made for the Gundam series... most of them are awesome!
