JILL is the real deal. She is a graduate of Tokyo University of Art which is the MOST prestigious art/music school in all of Japan. The school was founded in 1887.

Thanks for the reaction, AWESOME comments as usual! I always learn so much from your reactions. I'm not a musician, just a music lover. I don't know anything about music, but when you listen to this you just know every member of this band is an awesome talent! It gave me chills the first time I saw it. I'm glad you enjoyed this pick. I know you're primarily a drummer, but I selected it because, not only of the amazing violinist, but the awesome talent of the band as a whole. They all play so well together. And I knew, being a multi-instrumental musician yourself, you would appreciate the awesomeness of this band.

Great reaction. Yngwie started out on violin, then switched to guitar (he was considered the fastest guitarist back in the day) and took his inspiration for this song from Paganini. Now, 30 years later, Jill transposes the song to violin and kills it. Unlucky Morpheus with the singer Fuki and the main guitarist Shiren (Fuki and Shiren founded the band). On their channel there are a number of drum cams that you can watch for more of Fumiya (he also was the drummer for the band Galneryus).

Unlucky Morpheus is blessed to have a very technical drummer in FUMIYA the Demon. I really love his drums setup, like so many chinas and toms. Thank you for reacting to this band and hoping more reactions to come from this awesome band.

The name of the band is Quadratum from Unlucky Morpheus, as it's 4 members of Unlucky Morpheus. Unlucky Morpheus (UM) were started in 2008, as a side project, by Shiren and Fuki. They were in another band that was also a side project that did covers of video game songs, after the band stopped Fuki told Shiren that she had enjoyed working with him and wanted to do it again, so UM was started. It was just the 2 of them for a number of years. They did Touhou (a video game series in Japan) arrangement albums. After a few years the fans wanted to see them live, so they asked some friends to help them play live. In 2013 they added another member, who is also a singer, whom Shiren also had a side project with, then they slowly added other members, with Jill violin being the last in 2016, at this point it was still a side project, as all the members were in other bands, 1 or 2 still are. It wasn't until about 2017/18 that they started to make it more full time, as they started to release that they had become popular, not only in Japan, but around the world. They did there 1st tour of Japan in 2017 and played out side Japan for the 1st time in Oct 2019 in London, were I saw them. They have said that they want to do a world tour, but that idea is on hold due to the current problems. If you see want the drummer a bit more try 【Cover】Tony MacAlpine - Hundreds Of Thousands (Cover) feat. FUMIYA Some other dummers for you: 【 JUNNA 】Through The Fire And Flames / DragonForce - Drum Cover (this has been reacted to by Dragonforce's drummer, and it's like watching a proud father watching his kid play) Festival De Ritmo / Dave Weckl / Drum Cover by Kanade Sato Also can I add that Jazz is more popular in Japan than rock/metal. So you'll find a lot of metal musicians will also play jazz or teach to make money.

The cool thing about Japan is that they really support the arts. They might not have many views, but be damn sure every show is sold out and they move a decent amount of cd's.

This is Quadratum, 4 members that are part of a 6 member band Unlucky Morpheus. You already know that they have other covers so feel free to check them. But also give a try to the bands original works, Black Pentagram should be a introduction. Drummer gets possessed by demons in some of their songs.

that's a boatload of natural talent with a bigger boatload of work. what a great band! I've been wondering what would happen if yoyoka likes bebop and gets into wacky time signatures. that I think would be interesting, but but I like that stuff.

Re. views, yes, they should have more, but Quadratum is a new project, so it's not crazy that they don't have millions left.

Yup. Shiiren and Fuki were probably off with one of their other 1012390290312 projects they are a part of, so the remainder of the band decided to just do sickass violin led covers.

If you want to see a band that checks all the boxes, here is one. 1) Jedi-level drummer, with a good feel for rock, jazz, samba, metal and more; 2) virtuosity throughout but no sacrifice of feeling or connection to the material, 3) amazing songwriting (>100 songs to date, literally without a dud), and 4) great live stage presence while maintaining the quality of the sound. Band-Maid: Freedom kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHnTpningqaWesk Check all of your preconceptions at the door.

Great reaction, you picked up on a lot. Jill is easily the best cross-over violinist since Jean-Luc Ponty, if you know who that is.

Thank you for great reaction and showing your appreciation. It is interesting that one of the guitar member saying that playing these covers is easiest part of the video because these songs are what they copied during high school :-)

Check out more UM please their original stuff is great. I suggest Knight of sword, black pentagram, angreifer, cadaver/revadac, carry on singing to the sky, and get revenge on the tyrant. Live ones are best, but whatever.
