Thank you to our patron Jane for this.... interesting pick. The 90s were just such a strange decade lol I am proud to be a 90s baby though. We had some strange stuff afoot right before I was born... the wall came down and everything went crazy! Anyways, this was a strange track. A mix of a radio hit and an avant garde piece. All the samples were my favorite part along with the keys. It's the guitarist from The Clash apparently and you can tell!

This reminds me so much of that upbeat but anxious feeling that accompanied every listen of this album (over and over) on the road for work jaunts between Maine, Boston, New York and Philly. Finally just jumped across the pond carrying this positive and outward focused vibe with me.

"The Bottom Line" was their biggest commercial song. Megatop Phoenix is my favorite album of theirs. "The Green Lady" stands out there.

This was a great track but overall I prefer the original iteration of Big Audio Dynamite and in particular the first two albums "This Is Big Audio Dynamite" and "No. 10 Upping Street". If you like samples you'll love these two albums. Check out "E=MC²", "Medicine Show", "The Bottom Line" "C'mon Every Beatbox", "V. Thirteen" and "Dial A Hitman".

I haven’t heard this song or the album it was on in decades, but if I’m remembering correctly I think the title track “The Globe” was pretty good.
