i think the reason everyone loves oasis is bc they're all sing along and they touch peoples feeling in a bit of a nostalgic way. Even for you whose never listened to oasis they touched that nostalgia bone and its strange. i think its partly where they bring everyone together and it makes u think of being young with all ur friends around or having ur family together for Christmas and everyone being happy and enjoying the moment you know. I think that's something special

I'm so glad you have done more Oasis. I find their music hypnotic to me. Not the traditional hypnotic "trance" , but it helps take my mind to a good place. From what I've heard you mention you seem very similar with your experiences to mine. It's bloody difficult and it's horrible but be kind to yourself and all you can do is your best. As you obviously know music helps a LOT. When my mind takes me back to "old" places and feelings I just listen to loads of different types of music to help. My poor son now knows that it means that at that moment in time my brain is feeling a bit fucked and I need music to help adjust it. Better than doing what I would have done in the past. Sorry for going on. I could say much more but don't worry, I won't 😊. BUT ....please, please don't go thinking that you are oldish at 30!! Love it and embrace it because you will look back in years to come and think, "oh my god! I was SO young then and didn't realise at the time. Cheerio you "youngster".✌🇬🇧

I'm so glad you are doing more Oasis! Yes their songs always sound youthful and uplifting. At their peak they were unbelievable live. There was such an energy at their concerts and the brothers constant tension I actually believe contributed to their aura.

Oasis are the most importantly band of my life. For kids in the 90s we were lucky to have a lot of great bands but these were the top. The songs, attitude. From 94-96 they were unstoppable. Do I am The Walrus from 94 or 95. I’d suggest the Live By The Sea as one good one. They have tons of banging B Sides too, best B Side band ever

Oasis sums up (as a general rule of thumb) why I enjoy UK bands over US bands. The swagger for one. Also it’s the spacing and phrasing, pauses in vocals. What they don’t play, less is more. Not banging in your face drums with a fill every two seconds and a melodic guitar solo rather than a million notes a minute. Just my opinion. Music is subjective.

@@jonathanmarkham1998 the sound on this video you have to remember is hugely cleaned up and from the mixing desk. The sound in the crowd was very ropey. Vocals kept going quiet and they were pretty tinny. Also the singing from the crowd frequently drowned out the band. I was 1 back from the second barrier.

@@jonathanmarkham1998 i mean at the time it was amazing. I was 17 and it was my first time seeing them. I didn't let the minus points ruin it. But looking back having gone to hundreds of gigs since I can take off the rose tinted specs and be objective. Took so long for this footage to come out as well and its a great surprise and very nostalgic. Gigs were great when nobody had mobile phones out recording it.. I remember it went out live on radio one and they cut the broadcast when they played new tracks It's Getting Better Man and My Big Mouth. A year later me and a mate, being sad losers, went up to London and knocked on their doors and had pictures and autographs. Liam was quality and Noel wasnt too bad either. Went to a cast gig at Brixton academy later that evening and Liam came out and sat at the front of the stage.

@@ChrisITW04 interesting to hear about someone else’s first hand experience. I was inside the 2nd ‘mosh pit’ about halfway from the back of the first ‘mosh pit’ Can’t recall any issues with the sound to be honest from where I was standing. Did recall complaints from people towards the back saying they couldn’t see the band on stage due to the stage being at the bottom of a sloped field The biggest issue for me was the 4 and half hours it took to get out of the Knebworth car exit 😅

There’s a very strong Beatles influence with Oasis - personally I just don’t think they pull it off. They made their name more on feuding. I don’t understand this demand for tickets for the reunion - they probably won’t turn up but when you’ve got expensive divorces to pay I suppose they might
