It’s funny how a non-vocalist picks up on stuff that I’ve not even heard vocalist reactors mention. Very insightful

As a drummer, you kind of have to learn to listen to everything when the drums have to hold it all together 😁

This was actually her debut song, released just a day before she turned 18. It was instantly a big hit and is still her most-viewed and streamed song. There's also a piano version on her channel which showcases her vocals more IMO, so it would be nice if you checked that out as well. Thanks for the reaction, excited for Friday's.

It was nothing like her debut song. It was her first origional song wrote FOR her, and not a cover- yes. But she was already pretty famous on niconico etc in japan for her great covers. It just exploded after Usseewa.

For the shout transition, it's a strereotypical Japanese delinquent thing to say "Huh?" like that expressing a sense of "What the f--- did you just say to me?" You'll see it in some anime. It goes along with the rebel attitude of the song.

Usseewa was the 6th fastest song in history to reach 100 million plays on Billboard Japan after just 17 weeks. It reached 100 million views on YT after just 148 days. Turn on subtitles. The song caused great criticism among Japan's elderly for its critical view of Japanese working life. Recommend Love Ka and Gira Gira.

This was her debut song coming out the day before her 18th birthday, truly a talented singer. Her range and the way you can feel the emotion she puts into her singing is just amazing, my favorite Japanese artist.

I have a list for Ado: - Freedom - Bocca Della Verita - 馬鹿 歌いました - Domestic De Violence - Ashura-chan - Readymade These are Ado's best performances for me (beside "God-ish" and "Crime and Punishment" ofc, that would be cheating)

I love that vocal flick she does with the HuuuUUHH?!? bit, like it’s almost a sfortzando but also a sliding tone idk it’s very fun and kinda carves out it’s own contrast with how it goes quickly up down up again

I AM SO GLAD YOU REACTED TO THIS!!! Ado is amazing and everyone deserves to know. Some of her songs have english subtitles available and this is one of them. I reccomend when you have time to check out what the Lyrics means
She made kind of a one-take of this song in a piano version where u can actually see a glimpse of her (blurred of course). So yeah this was recorded and optimized, but she can do all of that in one shot! Also, subtitles!!! turn them on ;)

I'm pretty sure I found Ado through Sheena Ringo. They're definitely distinct vocalists but if you've heard Ado's Crime and Punishment that will give you an idea of what she can sound like. I'd say the main difference between Ado and most other vocalists is her incredibly vocal versatility within a song. Most vocalists, understandably, will do one or two of the things she does. And she started recording during the pandemic I'm pretty sure. Bananas.

If you want to hear this sang even better and live- check out usseewa piano version! Its also got blurry reflected image of her singing it- the best look at Ado you'll ever see probably. Also- watch this again sometime for yourself but with the sub on :) The lyrics are great lol- and a big part of what made it a hit with japans youth- and hated by most of the adults lol. The lyrics give the song more oommf!

I highly recommend readmade especially with subtitles it is insane and also I understand you are analyzing the singing, but it would be great for you to also react to the lyrics maybe after the initial reaction. Also this is your KZbin channel so run it how you want I will watch no matter what,. (sorry if this came off weird)
@ANDOR- Жыл бұрын
The "Ha?" at the beginning of the chorus is the Japanese equivalent to "what the f*** did you say?" or "did you want something or should I punch you right now?" coming from a female delinquent aka Yankii. The more intimidating the better, and Ado has it pretty much down. It's basically the same with "Useewa" (Shut up), "Maji Yabanai" (really really bad/crazy), "Kuso Darii na" (f***ing awful or in this context tired (of everything)) etc etc, it's all kind of youth slang that's not very friendly. You probably already did, but you should give a read to the translated lyrics, it's "adjusted" so it mirrors that sentiment.

Usseewa (うっせえわ) means "shut the f* up" in Japanese and older people in Japan doesn't like the younger children listening to this. Either way, Ado was 17 when she sang this and turned 18 when it came out (yes it's been a year but who cares)
