Welcome to the Dirty Loops family! They are musicians, musicians!

I just love seeing someone discover Dirty Loops for the first time and have their minds blown. 😄 Everything they've ever released is of this ridiculous musical quality (and they're just as stupidly good live), so you could pick any song and you more than likely wouldn't be disappointed. My personal favourite is their more jazz fusion-y song "Work Shit Out", and that would also be a good pick if you really want to see what Aron can do behind those drums. Looking forward to more reactions to this fabulous band! 💚

Thanks for an enthusiastic and spot-on reaction! They are indeed not all that bad. As a drummer you really (!!) should check out Work shit out as well. After that, you likely would love the surprising and somewhat fantastic Run away. If you are not hooked by then, fine. Otherwise, there is more in the small but amazing and diverse Dirty Loops universe!

Shane, as a drummer you MUST listen to Work Sh*t Out. Aron - the drummer - also writes some of Henrik's bass lines. Henrik has commented that Aron writes them and then leaves it to him to figure out HOW it's possible to do.

Hey Shane, many thanks for listening, and reacting to, my fave band! Thanks to Evelyn too for suggesting it ☺️👍 The funk and the groove these guys bring, is just next level… 😱 Henrik on bass is one of the best ‘new’ bass players, although Dirty Loops has been at it for about 14 years, and he’s been at it for even longer, doing session work during his music con days. So did Aron, drums. He surely git to be one of the finest drummers out there. And Jonah? Quincy Jones, on who’s management board they sat for the making of these album, said of Jonah’s voice: “…music is in his blood…. he’s got soul, and one of the biggest ranges I’ve ever heard.” Michael Jackson, as well as Stevie Wonder, were cited by Jonah as big influences on his singing when growing up. You mentioned those jazzy chords. I love the way they write music. Mostly in pairs, in different combinations. Aron does a lot of it, and even comes up with parts of the vocal lines and the lyrics. They send recorded files forth and back, and finally Henrik lays down his bass parts (incidentally often also written in part by Aron!) Because they don’t have a guitarist on board, their songs are written in an ‘unconventional’ way. Henrik and Jonah often have to play in such a way as to make up for that. Oh and btw, this wasn’t recorded live as you might’ve guessed by now. It is the result of a long and carefully considered process, and the music vid is just the post-production icing on the cake ☺️ I would absolutely love for you to check out their song “Work Shit Out”! It features two keyboard solos by Jonah, as well as one of the dopest drum solos by Aron!! Glad this made your day ☺️ it made mine, too 👍 Look, those guys inhabit a whole universe of their own, and to go exploring it is the best journey possible!

Here is an instrumental, short version of this tune, played by the three Loopers in their home studios, I guess, and showing some of their insane skills. Short but very sweet 🔥 “Dirty Loops, Rock You (Korg version)” kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3bEhItvZquqb7Msi=YIjO1QzQTS3xHgc9
