Animusic is midi mapped animation, it's actually pretty incredible how they did it with the technology they had. Also none of the notes could've been animated incorrectly or inaccurately because the music was all made in unison along with the animation
@thejestor9378 Жыл бұрын
Yep, only thing “wrong” is that the animation and sound could wind up out of sync, but that issue would be with playback and re-uploading.
@shiningarmor28382 жыл бұрын
The thing about Animusic was that the animation was MIDI-driven. There was no way the notes could be off unless they were manually taken off.

Here's one that's technically not from animation, and you can't see how he hits the drums, but a skilled drummer might be able to rate it anyway: Rowan Atkinson's classic Invisible Drum Kit skit. Does his movements match the sound as well as it seems like?

You know, given that starfish are radially symmetrical, I’ll bet they _would_ set up a drum set the way Patrick has. What I find a lot more confusing is what those drums are supposed to be. They look like a bunch of practice pads turned on their sides at ninety degree angles.

SUGGESTION: Scooby Doo. There are a couple of episodes I recall seeing drumming. The Hex Girls song is a big one. Did you know "The Mystery Machine" is the name of their band? Scooby Doo released in the late 1960s, when many shows were incorporating a band for some reason. This is why the first season had a music interlude to go with the mandatory multi door hallway chase scene

You forgot the part in Peppa Pig where he struck the bass drum on the drum shell, not the head. I find that to be hilarious.
@kaiserc24712 жыл бұрын
The thing about the peppa pig drums is that children are self-centric, so if you have the drums placed facing towards the drummer (correct placement) the child is more likely to lose interest because their understanding is that the loud hitty part needs to face the focus of the animation, which, to a kid, is them.

The frame rate really shouldnt matter. Film yourself playing at 10 or 12 or 15 frames per second and then see if it matches. It actually should match. granted there will be a lot of motion blur depending on the lighting. but the only way to prove that commenter right or wrong will be to film yourself playing at a low from rate and then use your wwap test to see if it still looks right which it should if the sound is in sync which it should be. It may have different results. I would try it.

the drums are set up like that because someone told the artist "hes a starfish, he's radially symmetric". So the artist draws the drums in 5 sections around him, as instructed (and probably knowing it was a bad idea). And then he actually moves and plays drums like a normal human so it doesn't make sense.

Regarding the Spongebob "Band Geeks" animation, what you're seeing there is a style of electronic drums that was popular in the Eighties. It's a cheat, since the sounds of the drums can be made dynamic. As for the positioning, that's stolen from videos by Sheena Easton -- and it was no more accurate then than it is here.
