It's a really great compressor. I love mine. Have used it on bass drums for about 30 years now.

I like that RE-209 underneath the behringer... do you use it in the master bus?
@Sweet.Ohm.Studio5 жыл бұрын
Not on master bus, but on parallel eq bus, drums, guitars, choirs...very nice eq...

@@Sweet.Ohm.Studio thank you, good to know. I love SCV, i had first 231SP and now 209 too... they have the same output transformers "Strelec", they saturate beautiful in the lows. Parallel and crushed should be a thing of beauty on kicks. I will recap it to see if it can even work on the bus. The designer is active in groupdiy and posted an opamp recommendation to explore also.

can you please tell me the name of the compressor in the beginning of the vid?

Hi there, how different would you say the sound of Behringer Professional/Studio Compressors ( that sound the same ) is compared to an MDX 2000 ?
@Sweet.Ohm.Studio7 жыл бұрын
Hi Jussi, MDX2000 can be more things (attack and release) and they're both good compressor for me. I don't know if MDX2000 is a copy of DRAWMER like you can read on the web but it's a good comp for the money, like the Professional/Studio compressor DBX160X's copy.

Great video! I realy love the Behringer! I also have one - amazing Compressor. I have a question: Are the Studio Compressor and the Professional Compressor similar just with different names or is the sound different?
@Sweet.Ohm.Studio9 жыл бұрын
Jane Doe Hi Jane, I'm agree with you, they're very easy to use and a great deal, and no, there no difference between "studio" and "professional", exactly same sound. The MDX2000 Composer was great too...after, I don't think so...

Sweet.ohm.studio Ty so much for your fast answer! I gonna buy one more if possible - the black face series is realy good stuff, i also got the One-Knob "Studio Denoiser MKII" and i love it! Do you know the MDX 402? I'm not sure, but i think its a reissue of the Studio/Professional Ones. Anyway Thank you!

Is only at this stage were you start to add compression or did you compressed before while recording???
@Sweet.Ohm.Studio7 жыл бұрын
I never use compressor during the recording, only for the mix. I record the signal with just a mic, preamp and converter.

As a drummer, I think I have to say I preferred the Behri ...
@Sweet.Ohm.Studio6 жыл бұрын
Me too even i'm not a drummer. The SC2 is more "transparent" more sweet.
