'pisces' is a song like 'nothing else mater' (Metallica ) : you can discover a band with it ; but it's not the idendity of the band .the right side is celebrity and the number of fan who 'love ' song .Great band .

I'm sorry Eugene. I love Jinjer but I have to break it down for you. That "hype" has brought in a HUGE portion of your current fanbase, including myself, and is still bringing in fans like crazy. I've seen tons of people online who didn't even listen to metal, watched maybe No Life Shaq or Alex Hefner or someone else, and now they're metalheads through Jinjer. That's what reactions can do. Another thing is that almost all reactions are done because your fans are requesting it constantly. Fans request it, reactor checks online and sees a bajillion other reaction videos and the views they bring in, then they react to it. Are those reactions justified? 100%. It didn't take a camera in front of my face for my jaw to drop when Tatiana started screaming the first time I heard Pisces. It's just that good! It's a win-win situation! The reactions are bringing in a very diverse fanbase for Jinjer and at the same time profiting the reactors. The only reason I think Eugene doesn't like this is because they fear becoming a one-hit wonder. By this I don't mean in terms of good musicality, but just based on views. I don't think he wants Pisces to become Jinjer's identity the way Ice Ice Baby became Vanilla Ice's identity. That outcome is very possible considering Pisces has 30M views and the second most viewed is Sit, Stay, Roll Over at 7.6M. THAT'S A DIFFERENCE OF 22.4M VIEWS!

I think Eugene's one-hit wonder "fear" is unjustified because people who listen to Pisces for the first time usually end up listening to many of Jinjer's other songs and some of them even find other favorite songs. They just have to embrace the success of Pisces the same way they embraced the band's name: stop "fighting" it and accept it. : ) But ultimately it's just views, like you said, they don't necessarily translate into Pisces being better musically than the other songs.

@@Module79L Yes I don't think it's justified either. I'm yet to see a Jinjer fan in the comment section who's favourite song is Pisces. It's usually Perennial, 'Teacher, Teacher', Captain Clock (my fav) etc.They should definitely accept that Pisces is an attractive song to the masses in almost all genres. It was released in 2016 and to this day we still have people reacting to it constantly. That in itself is enough proof that the hype won't stop soon.

My introduction to Jinjer was Who's gonna be the one live. I was blown away by Tatiana's vocals and the rest of the band's talent. The rest of the show was awesome.

Needless to say, the reason why we see her so much is because the fan base is largely a sausage fest 😂. They’ll deny it, but it’s a large part of why they’re blowing up. The other part is the talent.

@@jamesdragonforce I certainly won't argue that. I was at a show with my wife and we were in the minority. I obviously think she's hot but I love the whole package of their sound. Subgenre-wise it's so fragmented and I really dig that. But yeah, standing in a crowd of farting neckbeards at the show was delightful.

Jay Kay Yeah I agree. I’m a little bummed atm that Nervosa has all but split up. They’ve had internal friction going on for years mostly do to geography. I just don’t know how long it’s going to take for Prika to find a new lineup and who is gonna fill those shoes atm. That’s what I’m sweating atm during quarantine.

Making albums doesn't make money. Bands have to tour like machines to make money. It's sad. I think Jinjer deserves everthing they do. I hope they make some good money soon to tour less.
