Great interview. Dave is a class act, amazing drummer, and super good dude. Whenever I see him, I never fail to remind him about (and thank him for) saving my life in São Paulo, Brazil 😛

Exceptional interview and thoroughly enjoyed! I have a new found respect for Dave, his drumming and this channel. The clips of him playing were ultra captivating! I'd love to see the whole songs/ set. Man does he look and sound fluid, as does the band which I always adored. Cheers and Thank you!

Excellent interview, once again! Regardless of the drummer, or the genre, there is ALWAYS a nugget or three to absorb and something to reflect upon and knowledge to be gained....keep up the strong work 💪

Great interview with interesting and clever questions and great drummer. Is he wearing a small cushion in the left leg while playing? I always noticed how low he sits for how tall he is, so I think he needs that pad to protect his leg from knuckle knocks! His playing posture is unique: arms up moving like tentacles and head down, always super loose, with a beautiful grip and wrist movements.

thanks mate! dunno about the cushion though....

The Acrid Death record is excellent. EDIT: hopefully we can get a vinyl pressing of the Acrid Death album This is also an excellent video, informative and full of insight, as with all Drumtalk videos. Thanks for what you do.

hehehe, someone got me there! Thanks for the kind words! We had actually considered releasing the album on vinyl, which makes sense with the beautiful artwork, but the cost was definitely too high for a self-financed band...

Never saw a channel where the interviewer talks so much about himself in every video. It's quite off-putting.

There is a reason I don't appear on camera. For many years, I was apprehensive about even including my voice in the episodes. Criticism, whether fair or not, inevitably affects me. However, most guests appreciate that I don't merely ask questions in a one-sided manner but provide personal context. With a few exceptions, this approach to hosting is why guests tend to open up more intimately and differently than they would in a traditional Q&A format. but after all, you can't please everyone, and there are obviously many other channels that should suit your tastes better

@@drumtalkofficial Seems logical to me to pull a little bit of oneself into the overall conversation, regardless of stature, etc....putting folk on pedestals and not allowing for a bit of reflection and "co-drumming" banter, ESPECIALLY with the person DOING THE INTERVIEW, seems pointless...even the GODS have to come down to Earth, and we are all better for it...
