The man is metronomic and groovy at the same time. And, at least by appearance, is also a great 'feel' drummer. The entire band are legendary for the most brutal death metal sound, working really hard in studio and on road, enough creativity to expand while keeping thier phenomenal style and seeming to be funny down to earth dudes that are honest and fucking cool. Obies are easily the best DM band and one of my faves of all time. Thanks for the upload 👍🤘❤

Many thanks once again, Phillip, for bringing us more awesome content. 👌. Donald isn't very complicated, but he doesn't need to be. Obituary are one of those bands that seem to endure; enough hooks to be interesting, enough power to be heavy. Kind of like AC/DC. Not too fluffy, but really solid and groovy. Anyway, that interview with Donald was awesome, and he has a really interesting way of holding his sticks. He doesn't hit that hard, and 'chokes up' a lot on the stick, (it's a baseball term meaning holding the bat further up the handle, not at the end) which I've never seen before. And he is hitting even softer in the quiter parts, playing dynamically, which isn't something one would think of when you think of Obituary. Thanks again Phillip, cheers!
