27:00 I personally have used games pass as I used to use renting games for. It removes the concern of playing for more than a couple hours on steam and losing the refund option. I played Starfield for one month on games pass just to try it out and I ended up playing for 30+ hours now I'm just waiting for mods and I will likely just fully buy the game. I do not like the idea of having to pay money monthly just for temporary access to my games though and as long as Steam stays the way it is (fingers crossed) I'm happy enough.

Im upset that they are switching back to 3 lane maps. I get that MW2 and MW3 had some maps that you had to travel to the action but at least it didn’t feel linear all the time

I won’t use Game Pass honestly and any game I want I just save up to get or obviously will pick up in a sale. No matter how much they spam how cheaper it is. Sure I don’t ‘own games’ but after being a Stadia user I rather have a digital saved on my hard drive. Then I just delete and redownload and rotate my games if I don’t get hard drive expansions. Sure risk of them just wiping it but Stadia showed me why not to rely on Game Pass type things

Here's my math, I'm an xbox/pc user. I've been paying for xbox live gold(now core) for 12 years at $5 a month. So what I just did was buy 3 years of xbox live core and transfer it to Game Pass Ultimate becoming 2 years of Ultimate, which equates out to be $8.20 a month. At least for now, and probably for at least a few more years I would be paying for xbox core anyway. So I see my cost for Gamepass as $3.20 a month. For me, that is absolutely worth the value. After the 2 years runs out I'll just make the value calculation again like did last time my 3 years of game pass ran out. (The last 3 years ratio was 1 to 1 so it wasn't costing me any extra than the xbox live I was already paying for.)

30:40 I am more against gamepass, because it is a big tech company, even if they don't go away they might change direction irrationally from customer points of view, For Valve and Nintendo, Video games are primary source of income and for Sony most profitable one, so with microsoft, I will always have the trust issue, even if we ignore the companies' past, they are big tech. Google just sold off domain business, which was profitable unlike stadia and dozen others experiments just because it was not worth it, so when AI bubble bursts eventually, Xbox is not going to survive without major changes I bought game pass in the past when they had 1$ for first month or 10$ for three months ultimate kind of deals, but I am not going to ever have recurring subscription for any company unless its their primary business, buy it for month and cancel it as soon as possible

Doesn't matter how they polish this turd, it's still the same old cycle. Reveal looks good, beta plays well, the actual game comes and it's a shitshow. Fast forward 1 month and you'll have snoop dogg and Nicki Minaj running around. Fast forward another 6 months and the game will be dead. The sheep's will still part with their money thinking this year will be different, but it really won't.
