There's translated version of lyrics you missed it. The thing about thengu (coconut tree) it has nothing to do with how toddy is made. It's just usually a Shappu is located at the rural area of Kerala where you can enjoy the beauty of God's own country. Of course there will be lot of thengu. So thengu is a portrayal of something we can hold for a support and release(p**) the liquor you consumed from the Shappu. It's all just showing that the so lost drunken situation. You can see that on the rap part with translated lyrics. There's some edited version of real drunken mallus with this song( nadan moonwalk). Just search for it.
