Drunk Man Totals $140,000 Porsche and Flees from Police

‪@Copwatchtv‬ obtained body camera footage of an incident that occurred on April 20th, 2024. A man was driving an expensive 2019 Porsche when he wrecked into the back of an SUV.
A police service aide was called to the scene to facilitate the exchanging of information. While time went on it appeared the man was under the influence and a DWI police officer was called to the scene. When the officer arrived the driver of the Porsche fled the scene.
The driver was found hiding in a stairwell and an investigation was started. The driver was booked on aggravated DWI charges and his case is going towards a plea deal.

Same when I first got my license I hit a car while parking minor accident got scared and went into work. A couple hours later a police came into my work and spoke with me I apologized admitted I was scared didn’t know what to do since nobody was in the car. I was a young teen back then. Never leave the scene of an accident no matter how minor the damage may look. If nobody is in the car you hit leave a note with your information.

He’s going to hate his life for a year after sentencing. Most don’t get out of DUIs, even with a high paid lawyer. Judges despise DUIs. Judges also dislike defendants that don’t take responsibility on the scene. He walked off and didn’t want to come clean about drinking. This will harm him in court. I got a DUI. Have an interlock device on my vehicle, and this thing is pure hell. One month left and I get my regular DL back. It sucks, yet is a small price to pay in order to regain my driving privileges back. I’m thankful I did not hit anybody. I am thankful I have no victims. I have forced myself to watch tons of court cases on DUIs that did result in lengthy prison sentences and loss of innocent lives. Alcohol is no longer allowed in my house. I stay away from hard alcohol. If I do have wine at a fancy restaurant, I only do so if I take a rideshare to and from.

I have watched alcohol destroy so many lives of relatives and not one was wise enough to alter their attitude towards life. It makes me cringe to think of all the drunk driving I was subjected to as a child. If one of these relatives were ever to take self-responsibility as you have, it would be the shocker of a lifetime. What changed me the most is having the intuition to self educate by watching numerous hours of DUI cases in court. I’ve watched a lot of heartbreaking stories: terrible injuries and loss of innocent lives. Parents losing children and vice versa. Every year, we lose valuable members of society due to drunk drivers. I do not want to be that convicted person in the courtroom that has to listen to victim impact testimonies regarding what my DUI resulted in. What angers me the most: some of the defendants and the convicted do not take responsibility despite all evidence. They’re only saddened and angered about their sentence, not about their victim(s).

I worked for 18 years as a BMW service advisor. Many clients bought used cars, some got salvage title. They paid $20k for a $70k new car. Some had to look good, driving clients around (realtors for ex). Rich car doesnt always mean rich person.

As my parents used to say, many “rich” people owe on everything they have, in debt up to their eyeballs. My parents weren’t rich but they paid everything off very quickly with only small loans or paid in cash. That is the only way to live in my book.
