The drunken boxer is undeniably one of the best artists I’ve seen in a long time. But the guy acting out the mantis player. No one that big should be able to be that fluid with that much dexterity and agility. Witnessing the Jackie Chan and Samo for a new generation. Some one please give these guys a movie deal.

@gamrage5 жыл бұрын
From my experience, the impact of their strikes don't have any commitment to them. They're stopping right as their arms touch rather than letting them clash for more realism. Also the expressions on the Drunken Fist guy seems to be a lot more blank and emotionless compared to the Mantis guy. Finally, when doing a traditional style martial arts scene, you can't have dyed hair. This is probably a movie project but the hair takes you out of the immersion. Their choreography is amazing though, there's no denying that.

Out of all the videos The Martial Club has done, I think this one is my favorite. The shaky camera style, old film look, the captions, the voices, the overacting, the long drawn-out fight, all the different styles…talk about pulling out all the stops to pay homage to old-school kung fu movies! I watch it every few months when it pops up in my feed and never stop enjoying it.

That is some old school great stuff. Reminds me when I was a kid watching it on a TV that had only five channels

Oh my God I love the old-school intro. Back in the day on Sunday used to watch all the old kung fu movies. I think it was on TBS. Thank you all again for a very entertaining video. Love the dub and sound effects

This is still my favorite among all of the action shorts. I must’ve watched this a half dozen times over the years, much to the horror of my parents, who think I must be brain-damaged for enjoying this so much! Great job - please continue making more when you get the chance!
