There was similar situation in Poland a few weeks ago. Police stopped drunk Russian diplomat and couldn't do too much. But they didn't let him to drive. He had to call for someone else to drive his car. It seems most of them drink and drive...

Common in most nations. Here in Australia, we used to publish which nations have the biggest unpaid traffic fines, each year. Seen it myself. The staff, wives, children use their diplomatic vehicles to park anywhere they like, any time. It is a very well organized shopping group activity.

@petriceck russian diplomat was stopped, because he was drunk. since he had diplomatic passport, police couldnt do anything. they suggsested him to drive home to be safe. police pursued him, to be safe. diplomat went to store bought some more alcohol. and he also rammed police cars before he drove home. usual stuff including russian diplomats.

I was not speaking how finnish police would act, there's some series in tv called "Poliisit" ("Cops") and there police "customer's" faces and car's licence plates will be always smudged to protect his or her individuality.

Страно, что они его не остановили и не выписали сразу на него штрафы. Они позволили ему дальше ехать по дороге в таком пьяном виде! Уволнять таких дипломатов надо и судить по всей строгости закона за вождение в пьяном виде, за ущерб полицейской машине, за все нарушения, что он совершил.
