Let me guess. The "secret" Tomato stage can be selected by pressing R1 or something during the stage selection screen. At least that's how you select Strategic Space in Tag 2.

See you would think that, but no. Tag 2 actually gave you a prompt at the bottom of the stage select screen for triangle for "secret stage 1" (Strategic Space) and R1 for "secret stage 2" (that one magician show stage). In this game, R1 does absolutely nothing, and triangle is just a regular select button.
